He recently retired from a long career with Harley Davidson, and motorcycles have long been a major interest of his, both professionally and recreationally. This is the only 'kick-start only' bike in Joe's collection, and knee replacement surgery severely limits its use...] This machine was restored by an established mid-western British motorcycle specialist in 2005. It has been ridden less than 1000 miles since, and every single part was either rebuilt, refurbished or replaced. It has been ridden very little by either the current owner or the previous owner who owned it from 2005 until 2008. By coincidence, my history with the bike predates the current owner's by several years. The 1968 Triumph in this ad and a freshly restored 1969 Bonny were both purchased from an Ohio collector by a Knoxville man and briefly stored at the place of my employment sometime in 2004, so the dates I mention are inaccurate. The current owner, with whom I was not acquainted at the time, bought the Triumph some years later from California. It appears that, considering it has been ridden less than 1000 miles over the last decade or so, all concerned regarded this machine as an investment and treated it accordingly...
