Vehicle Detail

This is a real-deal 340 six-pack 1970 Challenger T/A!! It is in need of a complete restoration. I bought it a few years ago to restore, but I simply do not have the time to do it. Garage kept since 2004 when I bought it. Its FE5 Red with a black interior. Non Vinyl Top,4-speed car. I have 3, yes 3!!! broadcast sheets for the car. One is absolutely mint!!! When I bought the car it came with the "original" Block and another '70 340. I say "original", because the last 2 number on the block do not match. The last 6 are 296465 to the car and the block is stamped 296424. From my research, to find a stamped block so close in numbers is almost impossible. And the 424 number is not in the AAR or T/A registries. So I fully believe it was a factory screw up. The cars body is pretty solid. There is a new main floor and 4 speed hump. The rear foot wells need to be replaced and I am including the AMD replacement floors... The trunk floor is solid. The interior, hood, and left side (controls) of the Ralleye dash are missing. Its basically a roller with the key parts included. I have new bumpers and some misc parts too. I'm located near Coopersburg PA. Car is avail to be seen. Odometer states 57,100. That would seem to be the original miles. Please email with questions. Thanks for looking!!!On Jul-29-13 at 11:01:02 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve has been met and this car will sell. The main floor, 4 speed hump, rear full quarters and the trunk floor all have been replaced. The rear seat foot wells need to be replaced, and I have the AMD rear floor pans and are included with the car. The car is solid. This is a great car if you are looking to restore an original 1970 Challenger T/A 4 Speed Car, one of 989 built. It has great bones, which is why I bought it almost 10 years ago. I paid $22K for it without the trans, back then. I bought it bc it was solid and had the broadcast sheets, VIN tag and Data Tags...All needed for a quality restoration. This could still be a 6 figure car if restored properly and with documentation. I have some other parts left over from restoring my 1970 A66 Challenger. The buyer will get first crack at that stuff. I have received many emails on what is included with the car, exactly. So here is the list: The Rolling Shell... 1970 Challenger T/A Factory FE5 Red w a black Interior (interior is missing). Original 4 Speed Car. (Code on the Data Tag "D21" indicates 4 Speed). The T/A Block and Bare T/A "U" Heads. They are bare heads... no rockers, springs or valves. But they are T/A Heads I can send a pic upon request. I cant list any more pics on the auction. A complete 1970 not T/A 340 with the six pack intake and the 3 six pack carbs Rebuilt 833 4 speed close ratio trans. Non Matching numbers Front and rear bumpers, rechromed Rear Taillight housings (no lenses or bezels) Ralley Dash with the 8000 RPM Tach (original for 1970) A box of misc trim pieces What I DO Not have: NO T/A Hood (the pic shows a hood on it, but it is a power bulge (R/T) hood, and does not come with the car) No interior (the dash is there, some rear seat belts and that's about it) no seats, no door panels No 4Speed pedals, shifter, Linkage, Bell housing or Flywheel. No Front grille and headlight assemblies No Front or rear valances The ralleye dash right side control unit (headlights, wiper control) ____________________ NOTE: The previous owner had changed it to an automatic car (Sometimes people do stupid stuff!!). It still has the automatic pedals in the car. to confirm....I DO HAVE a completely rebuilt, close ratio, 4 speed Trans, non numbers matching. Any specific questions, please email. Serious inquirers only please. the reserve has been met....so it will sell. Thanks Again for looking!!! On Jul-31-13 at 13:23:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I just had the car looked at by an owner of a restoration shop…Thank you Joe!!! Things he noted… Right Rear Frame rail and left front frame rail will need to be replaced or repaired. Right front Frame rail will need to be patched and apron repaired. Right front Torque box will need to be replaced. But he did say its a really nice car. He also said all the parts needed are available from AMD. The car was undercoated, so I did not see the needed additional work needed. Again thank you Joe for looking at it. I am posting this info as I want to provide as much info to a potential buyer as possible. Any questions please email…and thanks for looking.
