I purchased this 1983 CB1100F several years ago as a restoration project. The bike had been repainted with new decals etc with a great match to the original colors on the fenders, tanks and side covers, but had not run for many years. It had 14,000 miles on the odometer when I bought it I started with the gas tank which had rusted and gave it an acid wash and reseal. The fuel shutoff valve leaked, so it was replaced by a new NOS fuel valve as well as an inline filter in addition to the tank filter. The original mufflers which had been replaced by an aftermarket 4-1 were reinstalled after bead blasting, powder coating and high temp header painting before installation. They look new! Needless to say, the carbs required major effort to clean and rejet to match the K&N pods which replaced the stock airbox. The brakes were rebuilt and all fluids replaced as well as the plugs, oil etc. The wheels are an attractive white color that matches the bike. I know the wheels are Honda, but not sure if they are the original re powder coated or from a difference Honda vintage bike. They really do contribute to the stunning overall appearance of the bike. The bike now runs like the “top of the line” muscle bike it was in the 80’s. It is almost scary as it wants to lift the front tire off the road in the first three gears! This is not a museum piece, but rather an everyday rider. It draws a crowd wherever it goes and all those bikers from the early 80’s instantly recognize it for the rare muscle bike that it is. The tires and battery are fine. The bike has the sport handle bars installed, but I have the original handle bars and cables if you prefer. The trip odometer reset needs attention, but I am aware of no other issues with the bike. The bike includes the owner’s manual and tool kit.I will help with shipping and deliver regionally.
