Vehicle Detail
1961 Chevrolet Biscayne 2 door sedan. This car came from Colorado, south of Denver in a very dry desert climate. The car is all original and is solid as a rock. The body has the normal dings and scratches for a car this old. The engine is a 235 6cyl w/ powerglide. I think the patina on this car is perfect as it is. I was going to try to locate a 348 or 409 and go through the car and build a street cruiser like the one Troy Trepanier built known as "Bisquick", but another project has taken my time up and I need to sell one of my cars. The car runs drives and stops but the carburetor will need to be rebuilt. I think the accelerator pump is weak, I have a kit for the carburetor as well as another carburetor to go with car. The glass is all good and chrome is good with dings. The door panels were baked by the desert sun so I removed them and made new ones that need to be covered. I also have a new headliner that will go with the car. Front and rear seats have original upholstery, front seat bottom has a cover over it and will need repair on the driver side. I have re dyed the vinyl parts of the seats. The original rubber floor mat is still intact and is in good shape. The rallye wheels are not included in the sale. A set of roller tires and wheels will be provided to get the vehicle on your hauler. Although the car runs and drives it should not be driven on the highway at this time. Things I have done include new windshield, new chrome beaded window channels, new tail lights, new headlight adjusters, new rear package shelf, new exhaust pipe, new pass side lower ball joint. I doubt very seriously if you will ever see one this good in the rustbelt unless you go west and bring one back. I do not "need" to sell this car. I am open to reasonable offers very close to the asking price. I will require a $500.00 NON REFUNDABLE paypal deposit within 24 hours of close of auction. Balance due in cash only. Please, if you do not have the funds to purchase the car do not bid. Car has a clear Colorado title. I encourage you or a representative of yours to come and look at the car before you bid or send me your email address and I will send whatever pictures you may want to see. Again this is a very very solid car and would be a perfect start to a street rod or total restoration project. I can provide my phone number on request to talk to you one on one. Please check below to see if I have already answered your question, Thank You.
