PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING!! Up for auction a true Classic 1955 CHEVROLET 3100 1/2 TON SHORT BOX What can I tell you about this beauty… She is a very nice looking and hard to find little truck in this solid and straight condition. I bought this truck to fix it up my self but is taking too long for me to get to it and the fees on this storage unit are killing me.... so I'm going to sell it with NO RESERVE!!!! The last owner put a FRESH REBUILT GM 307 V8 ENGINE CASTING NUMBERS 3970020 AND ALSO A REBUILT SAGINAW 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANS W/ MAIN CASE # 338935 AND TAIL SHAFT # 352254. Unfortunately after years of seatting on a storage facility the top parts of the engine were stolen.. Carburator, intake, valve covers, battery and a few accesories... all these parts were brand new and all chrome, that's why they stole them. UNDER THE HOOD: Like I said it has a 307 V8 engine with some missing parts mentioned above, but the radiator, alternator, starter etc.. all is there and also the transmission is there too. If you want to put in there an other engine, that will be up to you, but I was going to use the same one and just buy the missing parts and put them on again, of course after cleaning the existing engine very well because is durty and dusty after all this years. INTERIOR: The truck will need a new interior, seats. carpet, head liner etc. but the dash seems to be complete nice and solid, all the knobs, buttons, controllers and handles seems to be there, minus the radio. EXTERIOR: As you can see in the pictures the entire body is VERY STRAIGHT AND SOLID, Yes it has some MINOR rusty spots but NOTHING SERIOUS, It needs also new glass, wood on the bed and the front bed panel, the two front fendres are fiber glass, hood and doors open and close just fine. The entire truck is very very solid. This is a GREAT TRUCK TO WORK ON. I’m the owner and I tried to describe it according to my knowledge but the buyer still responsible for inspecting the vehicle and ASK, QUESTION BEFORE BUYING!!!
