Vehicle Detail

I purchased this 1997 convertible 3 years ago from the original owner, it was the personal car of the owners of a large Saab shop in Chicago and well maintained. Since I have owned it I have replaced the brakes, the exhaust system, battery, had the convertible top motors fixed. This era Saab had relatively weak motors to raise/lower the top so this is a pretty typical repair, done by Foreign Auto Specialties here in Minneapolis, a Saab specialty shop. The car rides very well. It is fun to drive and the Turbo picks up nicely. The power seats/windows work well, the top as mentioned above, the AC and heat are strong. The cruise control does not work and since I don't drive it in the winter I have never tried the heated seats when it was cold enough to tell if they work. Also the turbo boost gauge on the dash doesn't respond. The car has the typical equipment of a high end convertible from 1997 CD changer in the trunk, cassette in the dash, trip computer, climate control, power seats/windows/locks. I have two keys for the car and two, working wireless key fobs. Tires are Pirelli PZero Neros. Good tread depth. The top looks good, has a few wear signs near the hinge areas. Updated the waterproofing this spring and it's done well to keep the car dry including being outside overnight in a long downpour on a weekend trip. The car looks great. There are a few door dings, one scratch on the rear drivers side but you need to be pretty close to see these. I had the right front fender replaced this year as last fall the car was driven against the garage door frame in a parking lesson gone wrong. This work was done by Andrews of Princeton MN Saab repair. I have taken a variety of pictures of the car, I'm happy to take more if someone wants to see something specific. I will miss this car, we are replacing it with something less exciting for a new teen driver in the house.
