With a long History in 500cc outdoor racing The Honda Cr 500 has names associated with it like Team Manager: Rodger De Coster, Rick Johnson, Jean-Michel-Bayle, Jeff Stanton & Doug Henry With its superb handling, Braking & Power it was a force to be recon with for the few that were chosen to Pilot this machine. This Listing is for a near Mint Condition 1994 Honda CR500. The Power House of the 500 class.This bike was owned by a Honda Dealerships owner, an older man that would ride the bike from time to time on the weekend & it was clearly well taken care of. It still has the original plastics & grafix on it. Its the cleanest 500 you will likely run across & that's why I had to have it. After I got the bike home I went thru everything to make sure it was set up to my personal taste. I took the Jug off to inspect everything smoothed out all the sharp edges on the intake & exhaust ports & put a new Wiseco Piston, Rings & bearing in with all new gaskets, I finished it off with a polishing of the jug. I put in a new set of Boyesen Reeds, & AMR Racing Monster Coil for a little extra juice. A Pro Circuit Platinum Series Pipe & Rare AMA HRC Factory Tip & sound Silencer, not like the oval tips. New clutch cable with a shorty clutch & Brake lever. New throttle cable, Pro Taper grips on Answer Alumilite 2 bars. New front & rear Dunlop Geomax MX31 Tires to put that power to the ground, New Renthal Gold Series Chain & Red CNC Billet Sprocket Works Connection Frame Protectors, Tusk Billet Pegs & Black backgrounds on the plates. The Brakes on this bike are superb & she shreds berms like no tomorrow. Ive rode my share of 500's but this bike by for out pulls anything Ive rode. Ive taken it to the track twice on a practice night & spent more time in conversation about the bike then I did on the track. One man commented "This bike should be in a museum" The bike might have 3 hrs on it since I did all the work to it. I really Love this bike & hate to sell it but my son races & I need to get him a new bike so I have to sacrifice to keep my son up with the pack. If you are a serious enthusiast, want the fastest bike @ your local track, are a power junky or just want to climb a mountain in your back yard then your search is over. Honda Made nearly no changes to the 500 from 92 up to their last years except for maybe the seat/plastics because their R&D went into the 250/125 bikes so dont think a 2000 is gonna out-pull this 94, She is ready willing & very able.I have the original Honda Title in hand.
