Vehicle Detail

It's pretty safe to say, that you'll have a hard time finding a highly optioned four speed GTO convertible like this one. It came from the factory with 24 options. It's very rare four a convertible to have a four speed with air conditioning. Then you add the power windows, antenna, cornering, hide-a-way headlights and the rest of the options. Add the numbers matching/born with motor, transmission and rear and you have a pretty unique GTO.Produced in Arlington Texas, it was shipped to Holmes Pontiac in Shreveport Louisiana and stayed near Shreveport most of it's life. The car runs and drives extremely well with less than 1000 miles on rebuilt motor. Starts up every time, shifts well, rides and handles great, with two fingers on the wheel. Doesn't overheat, doesn't smoke and no funny noises.Although the car looks fantastic, I would classify the car as an extremely nice drive and not a show car. There are imperfections in the paint and interior but you have to look hard. Has a new top and hydraulic pistons. The AC has been converted but hasn't been charged. The 8-track, radio and dash lights do not work. The car currently has the Firestone tires and not the BF Goodrich. Hood tachometer, headrests and tilt column were added by myself. All gauges, power windows, power antenna, hood tach, hide-a-ways work. Originally a green car with gold interior and top, I opted for black with a white top. Overall a solid, highly optioned, numbers matching four speed convertible. That runs and drives great, been a real joy to own, with no issues at all. Email with any questions.ThanksOn Jul-16-13 at 05:47:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Posting a few questions I've been asked:Q.) Any replacement panels at all or significant bondo (wheel wells or lower quarters) that you are aware of? Looks like the left trunk floor might have had a small patch? ThanksA.) Factory sheet metal through out. Drivers 1/4 is to die for, passenger 1/4 has filler front and rear of of wheel well. Down low, at he very corner. Upper 1/4's are real nice, all the way around wheel lip. Under back seat has filler and two small spots in trunk but no patches. No patch panels in fenders. All this was done before I bought the car. Car is very solid but not as solid as a desert car. Still an exceptional car. Thanks Q.) What is the reserve for this car ?A.) Thanks for your interest but sorry, I don't disclose the reserve. Q.) Your ad states you opted for black, what is the color of the car? Pic's show green with black upholstery! ThanksA.) Sorry for the confusion. What I meant to say was, still is factory Verdoro green but I opted for a black interior and white top. Q.) Nice looking convert. Is there any rust? Have any panels been replaced? Can you tell me all the info on the cowl tag? ThanksA.) Hi and thanks. All the body panels are original to the car. Car has some filler under back seat, two small spots in trunk, passenger 1/4 down low at the corners and some under driver's front lower door. Wheel lips on 1/4's and dog houses on fenders are excellent. Floors are great. Hood isn't kinked. I've sent a picture of the cowl tag. Thanks Q.) HI does the car need any metalwork to be done. Is it a car I can just turn the key, drive and enjoy for while?A.) Hi, I've had 25+ GTO convertibles. This is the best one and I've turned the key and enjoyed it every time, next owner will too. Some cars will fight you from the word go. This car isn't one of them. Winter or summer, two pumps from the pedal and it fires up. Drove it Sunday, 95 degrees. No anit-freeze drips and doesn't get hard to start. I believe this car would drive cross country if needed. Car has original body panels with light filler under back seat, two small spots in trunk, passenger 1/4 down at the very bottom corners and driver's lower front fender (forgot this in earlier post). Front fenders, hood, passenger door, driver's 1/4 and trunk lid are all great. ThanksOn Jul-17-13 at 13:57:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Couple of YouTube of videos I made today.
