I have a 1973 CB750 for sale. It is titled as a '73, but the VIN and a few of the items on the bike make me think that it fell into the '72 production year. The paint and decal is that of the 72 model year, the turn signal stems go directly into the headlight, the front brake rotor does not have a "flap" on the back of the fork leg. These are all items that are specific to the earlier '72 model. The motor number is CB750E-2058887 Since buying the bike I have cleaned the carbs, set the float heights, replaced the plugs, put new fuel lines on it and put brand new tires on it. I put new grips on it as well as new levers. The ignition swith plug has been changed from the round plug to the later square plug. The bike starts up and runs as it should. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10 on how well it runs, I would rate it at a 7. It could use some fine tuning to make it a bit more responsive on low end throttle, but runs and rides fine the way it is. It does "pop" when you close the throttle when decelerating. Since having it the only problem I have had is occasionally the fuel lines get clogged with debris. It starts to bog down while riding, and cleaning the fuel lines has solved this problem each time. I have since installed in-line fuel filters on the fuel lines to catch any debris from the tank. The tank could use a deep clean to help this as well. The paint is original on the tank and side covers, as far as I can tell. The clear coat on the top of the tank has started to come off which has also made the decals fade. The paint on the side covers is in good condition, there is 1 small crack on the left side cover that can be seen in one of the pictures. The front turn signals are not correct. The horn is missing from the bike. The headlight works, both high and low beam but the button for the switch is missing. The turn signals work, but don't flash very quick when the bike is at idle. Please ask any questions you may have about the bike before bidding. I have tried to describe it as best as possible. Please keep in mind this is a 40 year old machine and is not in perfect condition, and doesn't come with any type of warranty. Take a look very close at all pictures. Please only bid if you're a serious buyer and are going to follow through with a purchase. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Once shipping is arranged and paid for, I am willing to work with the shipper to arrange a time to get the bike picked up. A $100 deposit is due within the specified time frame and the rest is due by cashiers check or money order within 7 days of auction end. If picking up in person, I will need cash or a cleared money order before the bike leaves.
