Well taken care of forty-five year old Swede. Engine is very quiet and the transmission as well. It does not leave oil spots on garage floor. The undercarriage/shocks do not make any odd noises and the steering is tight. The body and floorpan have NO CANCER. Overall, a quiet, classic Saab that has been well taken care of and does not need a restoration for awhile. Driven only on nice days and has always been garage kept. In 1998 the car was repainted. In July, 2008 a new brakemaster cylinder was installed by a European autoshop. In April, 2011 a new battery (Interstate), a new fuel pump, both new rear wheel cylinders and brakeshoes were installed by the same shop. Overall, the car is very straight and has very few, minor, cosmetic flaws. These are shown in the photos and described as follows: NOT the original seats, replaced with Saab model 900 seats. The back seat has a tear on the top and is unstitched from the rear deck. The car has a push button starter but the original ignition switch is still there. The headlights are wired as full-time running lights. The exterior body is straight with only two areas developing minor surface-rust; at the base of the driver’s door and the inside of the rear passenger’s window. There’s some oxidation in the paint below the gas cap, and some small chips around the antenna and driver’s lock. The car has only a couple small dents which are hardly noticeable. Other details: The odometer reads 87K miles. Glass is all perfect with no nicks or milky separation. All the lights/blinkers work. Windshield wipers wipe and all gauges work. That is the reflection of the bumper below. The photo that shows the entire rear-end of the car shows that it is a complete tail lens.
