Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair. The comes with current tags and is registered until August of 2014. Bill of sale and title included. I believe to be the third owner of the vehicle. The Chevy starts up right away or sometimes after a few tries (sometimes the starter spins before catching) & the engine has a nice purr to it & the car runs & dives smooth the paint is there but there's also a little bit of surface rust, dents and bondo, the brakes work but the brake shoes need to be replaced (I have a spare brake shoe) it pulls slightly to the left when braking from a high speed, the windows roll up and down, the windshield wipers work, so do the tail lights, brake lights, and reversing lights, the odometer & fuel gauge work, it has all the hubcaps and center hub caps, & it comes with a spare tire (all the tires are in good condition). The car does not need to be smogged because of its age. There are no broken windows or cracks in the glass. I have removed the rust and primed the hood so please disregard the photos of the hood. This Chevy would make a terrific collectors car with the right owner all it needs is some T.L.C. The Corvair is the only mass produced american car to feature a rear air cooled engine. The vehicle was recalled making it a collectors item with few models still in existence. I get compliments on it daily from some of our society's older citizens. The Corvair is regarded as the poor man porsche. The only problems with the car I'm aware of are the following the upholstery is ripped, the antenna is broken and the radio is missing, some of the paint is peeling, the glove box is also gone, the headliner is tearing, there is minor leakage and the turn signals do not work. I encourage any questions and look forward to answering them. I am also selling this vehicle locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time This is a NO RESERVE winner takes it home auction. All in all this car is in good condition, I drive it around occasionally. For a vehicle that is 50 years old it would make a great collectors car, some work has to be done to restore it to its prime but because I am a student I do not have the time or the funds. The car is sold as is where is but luckily it can be driven home. A $500 deposit is due with in 48 hours NO REFUNDS SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE. Thank you for your time.
