Up for auction is a 1987 Chevy S 10 std cab pickup. I actually bought two S 10's late last year, planning to swap engines out of this 87 into the other S 10, a 94 350 SS model. I spent most of my time and energy on the 1994 SS, and barely tinkered with the 1987, except to fix some of the obvious mistakes by the previous owner. Little things, like lights and removing the dry wall screws that were used to secure way too many things. This truck will make a great project truck for either street or strip. What I was told about the engine at the time I purchased the truck was that it had a four bolt block .060 over, with a forged 3.750 stroker crank, which makes it a 388 cube engine. It has 882 castings that have been nicely ported by someone who knew what they were doing, scorpion roller rockers, comp cams hardened +.100 push rods, Rhodes hyd. lifters, Keith Black forged pistons, chevrolet pink rods, Comp. Cams 270 - 282 degree split duration cam, Cloyes adj. double roller chain and gears, Mallory valves, Comp Cam springs and retainers, polished single plane intake with a 780 cfm Holley carb, and a HEI distributor, with MSD wires, Hedman headers. I verified rockers, springs, and pushrods when I changed valve covers. Loud, noisy, and revs quick.Trans is a 350 turbo with a "loose" B&M floor shifter. Paint is only fair, and r fender is dented around headlight bucket. definately not show truck material. Truck doesn't appear to have any rust issues.It has a 2" steel cowl hood. It needs a windshield,headliner and a lot of TLC. I'm moving and need to thin the herd prior to the move. As is, where is, so please ask any questions you want an answer to, prior to bidding. I would definately recommend picking this S 10 up with a trailer, if you are planning on moving it any long distance. Couldn't possibily get decent fuel mileage, and reliability is unknown.
