Rare 1989 Honda VFR400 NC30 PLATED AND STREET LEGAL Turn key ready to ride. I can maybe help with delivery or assist in securing a shipper, am also happy to work with any shipper the winning bidder decides on. Bike is located in Reno, NV. This is a really clean and nicely sorted NC30, plated with CLEAN AND CLEAR title and this bike has a correct 1989 17 digit 400cc Honda VIN complete with stamp and OEM Honda decal. You should be able to title it in any state, even CA with the 17 digit VIN. Please email me with any questions or concerns you may have before you bid!! Of all the grey bikes and rare Honda's I have had over the years this is one of the harder ones to let go....V4...360 degree crank, Gear driven cams. It is one of the all time classic Honda's and this one has been nicely sorted out and is a very nice weeken rider, trackday bike or even for a collection. Please have a close look at all the photo's, I will post more photos and details in the coming days and point out some small flaws on bodywork etc. There is quite a bit of money in upgrades on the bike: 17" NSR MC28 Rear Wheel Penske Rear Shock Shell Livery Paint on stock bodywork (aftermarket tail cowl) Re-valved and sorted front forks (recent service) Rick Oliver Lower aftermarket radiator (trick) Braided brake lines Hi-Perform FULL exhaust system Yamaha R6 upgraded Regulator/Rectifier Earthing on bike has been updated and improved NEW tapered steering head bearings (June 2013) NEW front wheel bearings (June 2013) Newer Chain and Sprockets Nearly NEW Bridgestones with less than 500 miles on them!! All in all it is a really well sorted NC30 with the 17 inch rear wheel, Penske Shock, Exhaust, re-valved front forks and larger lower radiator. It starts and runs perfect, carburates excellent and pulls clean all the way to redline. It is very quick for a 400, handles wonderfully and is a lot of fun to ride. Bodywork overall is really good, two small repaired parts that need touch up on the left lower. The replica paint job is nice and fairly well done. Frame, forks, wheels, swingarm all straight and damage free other than normal wear (actually less so) then what you would expect from a bike this age. It has been looked after very well. In the last month the bike has seen a lot of little maintenance and going over, new tapered steering head and wheel beaings, sorting out the usual Honda electrical issues(reg/rec, grounds) etc.This is one of the more sorted, clean and ready to ride NC30's. These are getting very hard to find in any condition, but especially as nice as this one. It would be at home in any collection and will make a wonderfull weekend/bike night or track day toy...it draws a crowd where ever it goes.
