1918 Dodge Brothers touring car. Vin # 226376 toe plate. Engine # 22820. Series A-186-2. Purchased as a running car 3 years ago. Restoration started, health forces sale, car has some nice options, wire wheels, fat-man steering wheel, wood trim on doors, engine inspected head pulled & cleaned, timing gears & chain replaced, compression good, oil pan pulled & cleaned, rod end caps tight, carb rebuilt, vacuum fuel canister rebuilt, water pump & radiator good, ignition system good, new exhaust pipe & muffler, horn refurbished, all gauges work, refurbished ignition switch with proper clum key not installed, new safety glass, new kingpins, new moto meter, wire wheels acid cleaned and painted period correct, tires are Universal tire Co., Lancaster, PA; size 34 x 4-1/2 with 90% tread, new vinyl floor & running board kit-not installed, metal top irons-good, wood bows & hardware-present, bows need replaced, no canvas top. Great restoration project-all proper parts are there. Now the bad... When I purchased vehicle 3 years ago, I inspected the rear end and has a chip in the ring & pinion gear secured another rear end chips in this ring & pinion gear also. Needs new ring & pinion gear, has temporary homemade rear end to roll around garage to work on, this is a roller. Needs rear end rebuilt, needs ignition switch installed, needs new starter generator motor smokes, has some small rust holes on seat pans, needs upholstery, needs top & wood bows, needs paint. Body straight, doors straight, fenders straight, comes with all service manuals & literature, hubcap wrench, crank handle.
