THIS WILL BE MY SECOND TIME LISTING THIS CAR. IF YOU HAVE LITTLE OR NO FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. ALSO IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO PAY PLEASE DO NOT BID. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND IT IS STARTING AT $1.00. THIS CAR WILL SELL, SO PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU PLAN TO PAY. Up for sale is my 1965 Lincoln Continental. I have had this car for years and hate that I have to part with it. Unfortunately one of my other toys has transitioned into a race only vehicle and no longer can be stored outside. With that said it will need to stay inside where the Lincoln currently is and I do not want to leave the Lincoln outside. This car has always been a dream car for myself and I purchased it with the intentions of doing a restomod style build. I have not had the time or resources available to finish off the car as I had planned. Just some background information on this particular Lincoln Continental. I purchased it out of Virginia a number of years back. It had around 75,000 miles on it. I had ran the DMV records and it was a correct odometer reading. I have since put very few miles, only driving it to shows and car meets. It was in very good condition for its year. It started and drove well, but needed some carburetor work. I had the carb tuned up immediately after getting it home. Since then has driven and started flawlessly. The previous owner had the car prepped for paint. I knew I was not going to be in a position to afford the paint job I wanted immediately, so I had the car plastidipped (rubberized paint used to protect the surface) flat black. The paint on the roof is still original and was in good shape so I did not paint over it. Below the plastidip is original paint as well. It is somewhat faded but shows 0 rust other than surface rust on the trunk lid (1964 Trunk). This paint is much like a vinyl sticker and can be removed very easily to access the original paint. The plastidip was not done to be a long term solution so it does have its streaks and flaws. I had planned on removing it when the time came to get it painted, but wanted to protect the body until then. The interior of the car was 100% original when I purchased it. The front bench was in fair shape (had a few blemishes) so I had it professionally redone. The rear seat is still original and in outstanding shape. The headliner of the vehicle is also original and in immaculate shape. The dash has a small crack pictured below. It features the light sensor that senses when cars are coming and turns your high beams to lows. This was a VERY RARE option. I want to be as upfront as possible with the car to ensure the buyer is satisfied with his/her purchase. This is not a Barret Jackson car. For myself this was always a outstanding base to start an amazing project. With that said, it does have a few items that the new owner should be aware of. The window motors need to be rebuilt. Only the front passenger side currently worksThe original gas tank was not in the car when I purchased it. It has always had a fuel cell in the trunk (pictured). The trunk has been treated for rust and in turn has pits and pinholes from where the rust was killed. It has been coated with a rust preventative. The trunk does not have carpet. The brown is remnants of the carpet padding, not rust. The weather stripping in the car should be redone. Most of them do not leak, but are extremely dry rotted. I removed the trunk weather stripping already. The trunk is off of a 1964 Continental. This was intended to be shaved (much better looking trunk). It does not have a key slot and the trunk support has not been hooked up. (pictured) The carpet presents VERY well (looks new), however it does have a tare in the drivers floor. When I purchased the car, the exhaust was in bad shape. I removed it, but have not finished piping it all the way back. This does not effect the drivability at all but is loud and you can hear exhaust leaks. The rear bumper has a few scratches in the chrome. (pictured)If you have any questions about the condition or any of the issues listed above, please do not hesitate to message me for more details of specific pictures prior to bidding. This car attracts attention everywhere it goes. It has been featured in a number of photoshoots as well as in videos. Momentum Performance (Parts Manufacturer) used it in one of their videos last year. Once again if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I have tons of pictures of all the flaws and would be happy to send them. If you are local you are more than welcome to come take a look prior to purchasing.
