This vehicle is very rare since the E34 524TD was never sold in North America. This 524TD Turbo Diesel is the even rarer since it has the factory 5 speed which is sought after by BMW collectors. Unfortunately, due to import rules this vehicle will not qualify for export to the USA until next year (25 year rule). For USA bidders I am willing to provide storage until the vehicle qualifies for import at a very reasonable cost. It is up to the purchaser to arrange for the export of the vehicle but I will assist. I live 60 miles from the Maine USA border. The car is in excellent condition and I drive it daily. It gets excellent gas mileage and is the attractive E34 BMW style / series. The interior is in excellent condition except for the back seats which are torn due to the fact the rear seat has to be removed to access the battery, this damage is common to this style BMW. One rear door power lock doesn't work and the AC will need a charge. I believe the turbo may be tired since the car seems a little down on power but it just may be the fuel filter. Turbos are cheap and available on Ebay, I already bought the fuel filter but haven't got around to installing it yet. The body and paint is in excellent condition, I don't think you will find a better E34 around gas or diesel. The vehicle is licenced and inspected for the road and I have been driving it daily without issue. The timing belt was changed last year and does not have many miles on it. The car starts right up and idles smooth. I will assist in shipping the vehicle if required but shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. This is a private sale and sold as is with no warranty. I have no objection having the vehicle inspected by a local mechanic. I can store the car for an extended period for $60/month in my dry garage but the car must be paid for in full. - I forgot to mention the defrost cable on the HVAC sometimes sticks and the power steering reservoir has a minor drip where the hose connects to the reservoir, probably just needs a new hose clamp. I posted a pic under the drivers door which has minor surface rust caused by a trim piece that holds water. There is no rust is on the surface only and can be easily removed. Last year, the car got new brakes tie rod end and ball joint for safety inspection.
