Offering for sale this sexy 99 BMW R110s, a former show bike built by a BMW dealer in NYC to show in the annual motorcycle show at the Javits center. They displayed it at their dealership and at the show for a few years and eventually sold it to the gentleman I purchased it from on Long Island. The dealer performed all upgrades and cosmetic enhancements (which I will later break down into list form). Because the chrome and paint work was performed when the bike was new, it still looks good but is showing it's age. The chrome shines but has dull and chipped spots, few chips in the paint, etc. To the best of my knowledge this bike has never been down but all the plastics appear to have been changed due to the fact that they are different colors on the inside. The story I was told is they sold the original bodywork and installed pieces they had in stock when they gave it the custom paint job. It's all in great shape, just not original. In storage this winter, fluid appears to have seeped from the front brake master cylinder and damaged the paint under it. Hasn't leaked a drop since I got it out this season, it must have been the temperature variance. It also has paint damage on the plastic starter cover from what appears to be a leak from the battery at some point. This bike starts, runs, and rides excellent. As in all BMW's the dry clutch and shaft drive are quirky and take some getting used to but keeping that in mind this is a very smooth bike with lots of low end torque. I can see why people drive these bikes long distances.
