Vehicle Detail

This is a 1968 Porsche 912 for sale. I'm listing this for an acquaintance of mine. I'm a little better with computers so I'm listing it for him. NOTE: This is the third time I have had to list this car. For some reason, it seemsthat Porsche people like to bid on a car and not actually follow through and payfor it. DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR IF:1. You do not intend to buy it.2. You are not a man of your word.3. You are a dealer trying to deceive the owner into thinking it is worth less thanit is actually worth. I'm not personally a Porsche expert, but I've done my best and written down everything he told me about the car. Also, the owner is tired of being harassed by scumbag dealers and Porsche tire-kickers. All questions must go through me. Do noteven ask to be able to harass the owner and waste his time. The car is located in Cheshire, CT About the Car (from the owner): This is a barn find story. About 3-4 years ago I hired a lab tech from California. He had just moved to Connecticut (where I live). He brought this car with him. He inherited the car from his father. He kept it in his garage in California for about 10-15 years, but rarely drove it. He brought the car with him from California when he moved here to Connecticut. He told me about the car and I bought it from him. It needed work when I bought it. The engine was overhauled. The brakes were redone. There was a substantial amount of additional mechanical work performed on it. I still have a lot of spare parts and a thick folder documenting all the service. I've driven it only a handful of times, mostly just for maintenance. It's not registered and still has the California plates. It has the 1.7L engine which is the original engine. The odometer reads 67,993, which are original miles. It is a 4 speed manual. It runs, drives, and handles terrific. The leather is in good shape. The windows go up and down just like they should. The odometer, speedometer, tach, and all gauges work. To my knowledge the glass is all original. The seats are in great shape. The headliner is in good condition. The carpet is in good condition. Headlights work. Brake lights work. Turn signals all work. The wipers work. The tires are in good shape. Things that Need to be Fixed: The paint has some chips, fading, etc. The radio was not working when we took these photos. It always worked before so I don't know what is wrong with it. (It is the original AM/FM radio.) There is a scuff looking mark on the passenger side corner of the glove box area. The dash is ok condition. Please see the photos for more detail. The car is located in Cheshire, Connecticut. Good luck bidding! There's lots of pictures for you - and a video showing you the engine starting, idling, and the car driving. Here is video of the car starting and driving: Here is the video link if you're using an iphone or Android.
