Vehicle Detail

What you're looking at here is an old 1941 Ford Tank Truck with a V-8 Flathead engine. This was going to go to the junk yard, but I acquired it, thinking I'd fix up my old '39 Ford Deluxe 2 door, (which is also listed on ebay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1939-FORD-Deluxe-2-door-Sedan-/221241476345?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item33830504f9 ) I don't know a whole lot about it other than the engine. It's believed it was an old retired "farm use" truck. The tank was used for water, is rusted through and leaks. It could be easily modified back into a flatbed. It has duel tires on the back. The engine is completely intact as I found it. The doors don't open right now, they're rusted in place, but they did a few years ago. The windows have been down as they don't roll up anymore. There is NO key for the ignition. The seat is in bad shape, and is covered with carpet. The right front tire is blown out, as you can see in a photo, so it might need one put on for transport. I had this listed as a 1939 initially, pulled the listing until I had more accurate information. I contacted someone I know who is into "old vehicles" and works for Ford. He verified that this truck is a 1941. All I have is the VIN number (as we call it today). This number is 99T 293944 . He said it is a 90hp, probably a Mercury, and basically the number 293944 told him what year it was manufactured. That's all I have to go on, so to the best of my knowledge, it's a 1941. Also included: I have some spare parts, some are NEW that are for this truck. We will throw those in with this deal. They were in a box marked "tank truck": * One set of New in the box DP-2 #78-12107 Point Set * One New in box #32-860 Condenser * One New "looking" Rotor * One set of 3" rubber cone things, I don't know what they are. New in the package. * And a Coil, looks used, but condition unknown. This truck is being sold "AS IS". It's for salvage only as there is NO TITLE available. I checked with the state of Kansas, and they said a "bill of sale" is all I need to transfer ownership over to a buyer, being older than a 1950 (antique), and because it's for salvage. Please Note: This truck is for "PICK-UP" ONLY! We will not ship, but will work with you on your transport arrangements. I do ask that you make pick-up arrangements quickly (within 30 days), as I have lots going on this summer and will be gone part of the time. Payment, I would prefer in CASH, Cashiers Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are NOT accepted. Starting bid is $500, and I know the body frame and motor are worth MUCH more than that! No reserve! No "buy it now". My wife and I just need to downsize and need to eliminate things we've held onto with hopes of fixing up. So, Happy Bidding!
