This is one of the saddest days I have seen in awhile, I have been trying everything in my power to not let this car go, I have wanted one of these since I was a small boy as it reminded me of the times with my grandfather, times have forced me to sell.This car was frame off restored in Chicago Illinois in 1998 I have a photo ablum of some of the restoration process that goes with the car.It is absoulutly stunning inside, outside, underneath, in the trunk, under the hood. The interior is the best I have ever seen, I have been to many car shows driving this car there, I have never entered one, but it is half way funny because I will walk around and you will hear people talking about the 57 in the parking lot and many times you will hear people say it is the nicest one there and for sure the best one in the parking lot :)I truley feel It is one of the finest examples you will ever find.The engine is a 350 Chevy, dressed to the 9's it is not a drag strip engine, but a nice engine you can literally drive anywhere.The transmission is a well performing TH350.It does have front disc brakesThe car has less than 2500 miles on it since restoration, the speedometer reflects this.There is no rust, no hidden damage, it starts up every single time effortlessly.The pictures speak volumes, but hardley show the true beauty of this car, a few things that you can not see is the followingThe temputure gauge does not work, there is rubber piece by the door jam that is a little loose from the small kids getting in the back seat I assume they have snagged it.I have kept the car exactly as I bought it, it lives in my garage and has never seen rain or snow since I have owned it, actually I have never drove this car in the winter come to think of it. I generally use a waterless cleaner to wipe it down and then it rest under blankets.I have just put these new tires on it as the others got flat spots from sitting to long, I generally just sit and look at it more than I have drove it.If you are a serious buyer I'm willing to listen, Im only looking for a "fair" deal for both parties (me and you) I will not entertain low ball offers. I want the car gone quickly as I am afraid I may change my mind, but I know it has to go......... this truly is a tough day. On Jun-19-13 at 08:26:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I realized I had forgot to mention I do have the spare tire, cover, the jack and all hardware, I took them out because they rattle.This car cruises at 80mph on the highways here in Kansas, purrs like a kitten and one thing I truley love is you can have all the windows down and there is no wind noise, a true testimant to how areo dynamic these cars are, did you know they where banned from NASCAR? Google it, it makes an interesting read, but they where not legal again until 1973 if memory serves me correct.
