Up for high bid is this Willy Jeep CJ5. I am selling it for a friend and any questions about the jeep need to be asked early so I have time to contact him to get a answer for you. He got the Jeep and did some work on fixing some of the leafs in the springs that were broken when he receive it but while driving it around it developed a knock in the engine and he lost intrest in it and started another project. The knock sounds like it high but can't guarentee it. The title he received with the jeep says it's a 1952 but by the outside mirror mount anf the turn signal lens the year is between 1955 and 1971. There are no tags anywhere on the firewall or tub to get the exact date. He has the title but I don't know if it will be usable or not not knowing what year it is for sure. A Bill of Sale can be done upon request if the title won't work for you. Jeep has a new YF 938SD carb on the engine that has been there for 2 years. Jeep strats and drives. The generator works as well as the gauges and lights. The radiator iof full of good green fluid. The brakes work good but it is leaking brake fluid somewhere. The transmission and transfer case work good and there is some slop in the transfer case shifers. There are no shocks on it now being that he had them off when repairing the springs and didn't put any back on. The heater works and the jeep has a nice cab. I think it is a Kelly because I had a jeep with a Kelly cab and the windows in the cab look like the ones I had. The windows in the doors wind up and down but are stiff. There is a small dent in the top of the cab about center on the passengers side. The cab kept the weather away from everything inside and is in real good shape. Jeep has 16" rims instead of the usual 15" and aftermarket lock hubs that have no name on them. The tub has several aluminum patches on the sides and one of the passenger side front fender. It has a bracket on the side of the motor that is attached tot he exaust manifold that I have never seen used before and looks to be after market. It is shown in one of the pictures. Jeep has a after marrket tailgate and no tailgate chains. It does have the original rear hitch. This would make a great project or for parts because it has a lot of the original parts still there. It has not been stripped on the good hard to find parts. There is a back seat that goes with the jeep but it is not original and not pictured. Frame has a patch welded on in front of the left rear wheel (see picture) Require 10% down payment via PayPal or money order and the balance due when Jeep is picked up.
