Vehicle Detail
1970 Dodge Coronet 500 ~ Super Solid Mopar Muscle project car, 1 of 4587 small block 500s made in 1970, factory AC car with 26" radiator, power steering, high-back bucket seats with center console/ auto floor shifter. I have this car set up for a 440 big block, I have a built 70 date code 440-6 that I had built for it, it is listed seperatly for sale. This car is being sold as a roller, no motor/tranny... I have access to another 440 / 727 Torqueflight for a little extra $. This car has been off the road for many years, I know the previous owner and the last 20+ years of history for this car. I drove this car with the original drivetrain for a while, but pulled it back in 2008 to make way for a 440 six pack. This car is super solid, no rust in trunk, floors, frame, ect... SUPER SOLID CAR! Everything worked last time I drove it, wipers, lights, ect. These cars were not built in high numbers like Camaros and Mustangs were, they are hard to find. 1970 is the best year for the Coronet and it is a one year only production car. I bought this car almost 5 years ago, and spent a lot of time and money on it since... I pulled the original motor and tranny (318-904 torqueflight) and got the car ready for a big block... The body alone has new floors, new trunk, new rear frame rails, the car is now "rust free", very solid. I had the underside blasted and repainted, along with the engine bay and trunk floor. I ordered new carpet, rear interior speaker panel, new shocks front and back, all new brake hardware in all 4 brakes, upgraded the original drum brakes to the BIG 11" brakes off a 70 Super Bee, removed the original rearend and upgraded to an 8 3/4 posi 3:55 Sure-Grip unit, the heavy duty 489 housing one, and had it blasted and painted as well, put fresh gaskets and gear oil in, and located the correct big block driveshaft to go with it. Brand new gas tank / sending unit/ restored original tank straps. Also upgraded the leaf springs to new mopar performance 440 heavy duty springs (more leafs), and upgraded the front torson bars to big block 440 ones as well. Car is being sold complete, minus the motor and transmission. This car needs no rust repair, that will save you a lot of $$$! It has Super Bee scoops that suck in cold air and forces it into the engine bay. It has original 440 hood callouts. Factory 26" radiator and shourd included. Sitting pretty on a pair of original Keystone 15" Mags, with GoodYear Eagles that are like new all around. I have a clean Missouri title in my name, the original fender tag, two original build sheets (both for this car!) and all sorts of reciepts, as well as the original owners manual. I have decided to sell both of my 70 Coronet 500 cars, out of my personal collection, and use the money towards another special car I am wanting to purchase. No Trades, No Offers, Serious buyers ready to buy only please. I have this car stored at my shop in Kansas City, Missouri. I live half an hour away in Lenexa, Kansas. I will meet the buyer in KC where the car is, bring a trailer and a wench or something to suck it onto a trailer. I will help load, car does have working brakes. I want the car paid for in full within 7 days after auctions end, would like the car picked up within 30 days after end of sale. I am easy to work with, be sure to email me with any questions, and thanks for looking... MoPar to Ya!
