Vehicle Detail

What you see here, is an old 1939 Ford Deluxe body, ready for rebuilding, restoration, or chopping out. The engine block is out of the car, but is included, as are all other parts that we have. This has a V-8 Flathead. We have housed this car, intending on restoring it for 35 years now, and doesn't look like we'll ever get to it, so it's time to let someone else own it. When we obtained it back in 1978, it was intact, meaning the motor and everything was in place. A long time back, a couple little brothers decided to take the car all apart, and they did a fine job, down to every last bolt. The photos reveal these boxes of parts, the radiator and "hopefully" everything that came off of it, but no guarantees. The engine block is still in our garage, which will go with this car. The car is being sold "AS-IS". So basically, what you see is what you get. The last time it was plated was in 1953. (Two things in photos....the "visor mirror" and the license plate do not go with the car.) The tires were flat, but we put air in those 60 year old tires, and they held air (for now)!! As for a title, we did have it at one time, and will try and locate it, but I doubt that is much of a concern since it's disassembled. Please note: This car is for PICK-UP ONLY! We will not ship, but will work with you on your arrangements for transport. We do ask that you make pick-up arrangements quickly (within 30 days), as we have lots going on this summer and will be gone some, and, the car is now exposed to the elements. I'm going to set this up as an auction, with no reserve. The starting price is very low for just the body alone! Happy Bidding! I will get to any questions you may have as quickly as possible. On Jun-16-13 at 13:07:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted anyone interested to know too, that I just listed for sale on ebay, a 1939 Ford Tank-Truck with a V-8 Flathead motor intact. You can view it here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1939-Ford-Tanker-Truck-Restoration-Parts-/221241811006?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item33830a203e Also, I was asked about the VIN number. I haven't found where it's located on this car. If anyone knows, please message me as to where else to look, and I will update the listing here with that info. Thank-you.On Jun-16-13 at 19:09:28 PDT, seller added the following information:We still did not locate the VIN number on the car itself, but I did find the title!! Information for anyone interested: The VIN is #4-888-329, it says it's model: 91A, body type: "Dlx. Tudor". The license plate is for the year 1953, but this title (more like a registration, but states "certificate of title" along the top) is dated March 1, 1978. That would be about the time we obtained the car. I will check with my county clerk to see if I need to do anything more to transfer it, or if it's Okay as is.On Jun-17-13 at 17:07:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Once again, I am going to provide more information/photos. I've been asked questions such as, "would you put the block in the trunk for transport?", "what are the conditions of the floor, trunk & frame?", "How is the rust condition?" Answers: Yes, the block is now in the trunk for transport. The conditions of the floor, trunk and frame can be seen in the new photos I'm adding now. Average for the age of the car. The bottom actually looks pretty good, my husband says. As for rust, yes, there are spots here and there, and my husband said that the rust is not in bad shape, he didn't see anything rusted through anywhere at all. So, I forced my hubby to go out to the car and I helped him dig out all the boxes of parts to take even more pictures for everyone. So, when we got done taking pictures, we reloaded everything, and got some help with the block, and EVERYTHING, including the block is now securely in place for your transport. I hope these photos help you out.On Jun-19-13 at 14:50:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Just in case anyone was interested in the truck, as I mentioned above, I pulled the listing to correct information contained within it. It's a 1941, not a 1939. The updated link is : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1941-Ford-Tank-Truck-Flatbed-convert-Restoration-Parts-/221243236102?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item33831fdf06
