1980 Porsche 911SC Introduced in 1978, the new 3.0 liter 911 SC was, in effect, a Carrera 3 or 911S with 180 bhp and a smash hit in the press and showroom. The car offered here is a rust-free California native, liberated from long-term storage and re-commissioned to run well. The engine has good compression, and is responsive and powerful. The G50 gearbox shifts well through a good clutch. Brakes, suspension and steering are all very good. It’s not perfect, but really good considering it hasn’t been on the road in a decade. The body is straight with excellent panel fit. The colour of the car has been changed from an orignal yellow, through brown metallic, to the black it is offered in today. It needs paint. There’s a scuff on the rear fender and chipped paint under the rear window. The car rins on good Fuchs alloys with good tires and is complete with a clean, clear California title, keys, and owner’s manual. I am willing to assist with shipping domestically and internationally. This is an excellent and solid basis for a driving restoration project, or race car.
