Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1989 Chevy Camaro Z28 IROC convertible with the TPI 305. This is a high option car, power everything COLD A/C freshly converted to R134 with new compressor/accumulator & all new seals. I have replaced tons of parts on this car over the last year and a half I have owned it. Originally a Eastern Colorado car, moved back east and out to me finally in California. NO rust. It is stored indoors. Car has new carpet, brand new stripe kit. The paint is about 2 years old and is driver quality. Tires in excellent condition 85% tread. Top was replaced by previous owner, it is in great condition. Absolutely show quality leather seats. Whomever did them should be working on show cars. I have put about 600 miles on this car in the time I have owned it. This is a real nice car that could be a show car with a little work such as aligning body panels for perfection. It pains me to sell it but I have a 1997 Camaro SS convertible I want to restore that is my true love. Car is sold as is where is, CLEAR title. However, if you are looking for a perfect Camaro then pay the 20k for one of these still new from a collection or buy yourself a new one at your local dealer. This is a 24 year old car that is in great condition for its age but is not new and I just want to make sure there are no extreme expectations or suprises. That being said, this car is a fun to drive low mile looker that people gawk over everywhere you go. It's also cheap to insure with collector car insurance! Car is stock except for a magnaflow muffler, dark tinted side windows and polished wheels. Everything works-tape player, windows, power locks etc. except the power antenna which is an easy fix I just never got to. List of replaced items since owned: New shocks, struts. Replaced trans filter and fluid, new gear oil and gm posi additive in rear end. New radiator, water pump, all smog equipment (as passing California smog is next to impossible I think they are trying to rid the roads of older cars here), belts, hoses, brakes, battery, spark plugs, flow matched fuel injectors, spark plug wires, cap and rotor. All new door and window seals. All new headlights, front "camaro" fog light surround, stripe kit, carpet, new light bulbs, new "IROC/Z" wheel center caps. Perfect dash pad with dash cover. New IROC-Z inserts for the bumper and ground effects as well. Has brand new alarm system two sets of keys and original owners manual as well. *I had intended to build a mild 350 for it so I do have an uncut roller TPI 350 long block and another 700r4 that I am willing to sell along with the car if you are interested for market value*On Jun-14-13 at 14:26:41 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions: The car was painted with base coat/clear coat PPG paint-I have owned a national show winning car before so anything less than perfect is a driver quality paint job to me, this one is very nice but not perfect. The bidding is within 1k of reserve now I do not have ridiculous expectations like some other listings have.
