Vehicle Detail
'69 Cadillac Deville Convertible California car enjoying retirement for last few years in Arizona. A fun survivor that runs and drives very well. I have owned her for 2 1/2 years and have driven it about 7,000 miles. During which time I have made many repairs and upgrades. I was never interested in a restoration project or a perfect car but more of a fun toy. List of items replaced or added... Convertible top, pump, lines, rams. F.A.S.T. EZ-EFI System (have stock carburator) 2004R 4 speed automatic transmission with lock up torque converter (have stock turbo 400 transmission that was fully operational when removed) Pioneer stereo head unit with Rockford Fosgate speakers and subs (have original am/fm radio that did not work) New A/C Compressor, expansion valve, lines, etc. Works nice! (have old compressor) Rebuilt control head Aftermarket cruise control Aftermarket alarm system with keyless entry and power trunk release New Hancook tires New dual exhaust system (quiet!) Regular maintenance items replaced...Plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor, belts, hoses, brakes, wheel bearings, shocks, battery and terminals, freeze plugs, control arm bushings, etc. Driven mostly on ice cream runs, but have taken a handful of road trips. The most exciting one was an 800 mile Vegas trip. Averaged 13.5 mpg driving 80mph and 16.8 mpg driving 70-75mph thanks to the computer controlled fuel injection system and the later model 4 speed transmission. She leaks a little oil and uses some too but runs like a champ. Her paint was done by the prior owner and she shines pretty well for an old girl but definetly has some cracking and blemishes. The chrome is all there but shows its age. The interior is all intact but shows wear in the leather and carpet especially. I have been reluctant to sell but have too many projects and not enough time. I have had lots of cool cars and I will probably miss this one the most. Lots of thumbs up when cruising. Old guys love it, teenagers yell at it, kids laugh at it, dogs bark at it and girls dont get it. Have a look and maybe take a chance on her!
