1948 Ford Business CoupeAll original solid straight body. We just acquired this wonderful Flathead Ford Coupe from the long term owner who enjoyed the car just as you see it for many Summers. Never modified, never rusted and well maintained, this car has had the original Flathead V-8 motor totally rebuilt about 5 years ago with little hobby use since. All original steel including beautiful floors including trunk floor and all inner structures. Please note that the paint is not near as good as the photos portray as it is very old with many small chips, scratches and small dings. Still very presentable as a driver, I would honestly say the car is needing a repaint to be real nice. All stainless trim is there but a number of the moldings have small dents and scratches. Chrome bumpers are very solid and straight but plating is failing and should be redone. Window glass including windshield are all good and windows operate properly. Interior is quite presentable and looks like a combination of decent original pieces and some redone long ago using correct original materials. What appears to be the original headliner does have a few small moth holes but overall is nice. Rubber floor mat covering looks to be very good replacement in good condition with all original gauges and switchgear and car has original Ford radio though not operating. Car also has the Ford optional heater. Dash trim and original steering wheel are showing their age but overall not too bad and very functional. The trunk compartment is all totally solid and dry. A spare tire with rim and jack assembly is still stowed in the trunk. This car runs and drives excellent and is totally a pleasure to drive. The stock rebuilt Flathead runs very well, whisper quiet with nice performance sealed up nicely with no leaks. Car starts easily hot or cold, choke and fast idle work properly and everything under the hood is tidy and in place. Transmission shifts smoothly and brakes are very good functioning as they should. All 5 tires are older reproduction whitewall 650-16 in very good condition with nice trim rings and hubcaps. A V-8 Ford Coupe in this condition is nearly impossible to find and this car is a true gem in that t is a solid, rust free, unmodified car that can be kept as is to drive or the best basis one could ever find for a restoration or Hot Rod build.
