1961 AMC Rampber American - Super Model. The car is an original California car with California black licence plate....highly desirable. I bought the car from an estate sale with the original title from the first and only owner. The car was in a storage for 24 years. The following has been done on the car so far: 1. Gas tank and fuel lines were throughly cleaned, and a new fuel filter was installed. 2. A new head gasket was installed. The cylinder head and the valves were completely cleaned. 3. New spark plugs and ignition wires. 4. New capacitor. 5. New coil. 6. New heater control valve. 7. New termostat, coolant and heater hoses. 8. Rebuild generator. 9. New battery with 3 years warranty. 10. New engine and transmission mounts. 11. Brake system was completely flushed and new front and rear wheel cylinders installed. 12. Front wheel bearings where cleaned and repacked with new grease. 13. Front headlights, high beam swith, taillights, turn signals and brake lights works. 14. Coolant temperature gauge works. 15. Fuel gauge does not currently work and have not diagnost the problem yet. 16. No leak from the heater core and heater fan works. 17. New engine oil. 18. New antifreeze coolant. 19. Carburator was completely rebuilt. 20. Fuel pump was cleaned. The car does not smoke and runs good with good power and can be driven. The automatic transmission shifts nicely through the gears. Mechanically the car needs nothing and is ready for cosmetic restoration. There are few very minor surface rust on the body. The underside is in excellent condition as it should be for an original California car. There are some minor and easy to repair body damages. I have new OEM taillight lenses and the missing passanger side turn signal lens. I also have the hard to find brand new front and rear window gaskets which you will need for removing the glasses for a new paint job. the inteiror will need new headliner, seat covers, carpet and door panels. The pictures of the engine does not show the original oil filled air filter housing but it does come with the car and is rust free.
