1974 Porsche 911S sunroof coupe. Silver metallic with lobster red interior; a classic combination. VIN# 9114300493. Engine, 911/93, #6341094 Transmission, 915/61, #7343096 Fairly rare car with only around 1,350 G-series 911S coupes made for worldwide distribution in 1974. It's quick with a light early-car feel. Essentially the mechanical equivalent of a 1974 US Carrera but with narrow-bodied aesthetics. Some of the stock attributes are: Alloy front brake calipers with vented disks 20mm front sway bar 18mm rear sway bar Trombone oil cooler 15” x 6” Fuchs (refinished by Al Reed with Vredestein Sprint Classics, 185/70) Other highlights:Rebuilt engine and transmission Re-covered dash (Autobahn Interiors, San Diego) Re-covered front seats with correct vinyl New headliner New window and doors seals Momo Prototipo from 1979 Rear Koni adjustable's (fronts are Koni as well) H-4’s with JWest relay. Rebuilt pedal cluster and a new gas pedal Alternator replaced Carrera chain tensioners Stainless braided brake lines Mileage is at 112,200. Engine rebuilt at 105,000 miles. Rebuild included all proper machining on the case, heads and internals. Stock cams were modified to the SC grind by Dougherty Racing Cams. Engine pulls strong from just above idle to redline. Ceramic coated heat exchangers. M&K 2-in-1-out muffler tops everything off with a wonderful (loud!) Porsche sound. Bosch K-Jet (CIS) was cleaned, rubber hoses replaced, new cold start injector installed, system fuel pressure adjusted to specs, and pop-off valve added. Starts cold or hot with ease. New injectors with less than 10,000 miles on them. Transmission rebuilt at 102,000 by John Walker’s in Seattle. All new syncros. Shifts smooth and sure. New bushings in the linkage. Body is in very good condition. Pans are clean and dry. Fenders, trunk, back seats, rear shelf, and wheel wells are in great shape. Dent on the right bottom of the front trunk. I have a section from a straight donor ’74 911 that can be grafted in there. Repainted two years ago. Car was sanded down to the original primer. Painted with PPG primer and 2-stage paint. Presents well but not a perfect job. Unfortunately the door VIN sticker was lost in the process. The bads: Tachometer needle will stop at various rpm when the dash gets hot (parked in the sun or defrost on) Windshield washers and horn not attached Just had a tune up: adjusted valves, set timing, fuel pressure check, oil & filter change. I have some lobster red vinyl on hand. I can discuss with new owner the option of making speaker-less door panels if desired. Please ask questions if you have them. Please ask questions if you have them. *I've received a few questions regarding the rebuild. I have all the receipts for the machine work done. That includes: line hone, bore and deck (still STD/STD), case savers, oil bypass modification, clean/polish/balance crank, re-bush/re-surface rocker arms and resize rods (both ends).
