I bought this 1988 Sammi about a year ago from a mechanic here in town. The first thing I noticed about this vehicle was how good the body looked, and it still does. I was thinking about getting someone to restore it, but don't have time to get that involved. The windows work fine, but I don't have window cranks for either door. I've had it tuned up, changed oil twice, and the drag arm link was replaced. Sent the seats to Mexico to have them reupholstered and installed a CD/radio. It gets great gas mileage and the four wheel drive works very well. Haven't had much time to take it out in the desert, but on the two or three times we've been out, it ran like a champ. I had new shocks put in it about 6 months ago and it developed an occasional (which means rarely) wobble in the steering, but only when the vehicle is going downhill. I'm not a mechanic, but I think the shocks are not the right kind. Where I live, it does not have to pass a smog check, so I haven't had any tests like that run on it, but it does not use oil. The winner of this auction can pay me through paypal or with a cashier's check. Either way will work and I don't have a preference.
