1949 Ford F-1 Pickup Flathead V8, 4-speed I bought this truck from the original owners son where it was used on the family farm in Unadilla Georgia where it was less than 10 miles from the dealership where it was purchased new from Brannen Ford. It has 83,530 original miles on it. They kept the truck inside a shed, and it only has two small rust spots, one is in the front part of the cab under the right front fender, and one small place on the bottom of the right front fender where it meets the running board, see photo's. Floor boards, cab corners, and doors are solid. I took the gas tank out of it, and was going to just get a new one for it. I have the truck running on a temporary can under the hood now, and it runs great with no noise are smoke at all. The left water pump is leaking so I don't have any water in it now. The brakes are down from setting. Both of the door glass, and one vent window need to be replaced. I was going to get a regular bed for it, and put it back to a pickup. I have a nice set of 48 to early 50 rear fenders that I would sell to the new owner if they are interested in them. Over all a nice solid truck to restore.
