Vehicle Detail
1992 V6 Audi CS 100 Quattro Wagon. For parts or cheap daily driver if repaired. Currently does not start. WILLING TO CONSIDER OFFERS FOR PARTS FROM THIS CAR AFTER AUCTION ENDS OR IF OFFER PRICES JUSTIFY ENDING AUCTION EARLY. This is the most fun car I’ve ever owned. Sporty, fast and responsive. The rear-facing seat has been great with kids, and the extra cargo space comes in handy. The Quattro all-wheel drive was perfect for driving in on our hilly, wet, sometimes snowy, roads. Unfortunately, it needs more attention than I have time to give it. I gave it to a friend, and when I got it back, it was not running. Bottom line is that it does not start. Turns over but doesn’t sounds strong, even with a good battery. Wondering if it has lost compression. The mileage is 290,000, so that alone might explain it. I’ve been thinking of getting it back running, I just haven’t had the time. So it has been sitting for over a year. This would make a decent, inexpensive daily driver for someone who can get it running or a great parts car. Transmission was strong when last driven. It was replaced at some point but no records of when. The body is in good shape with no dents and no body rust. But the clear coat is peeling badly. A paint job would make this looks great. The interior is decent and would clean up very nicely. The leather seats are in good shape with no tears or wear holes. Seat belts all work. Carpets are dirty with some stains but otherwise sound. All the glass is good, but none of the windows are currently working. The regulators on one or two are certainly bad, not sure why the others aren’t working. Maybe a fuse. Currently does not start. Must be towed or hauled away at buyers expense. LISTED LOCALLY, SO AUCTION MAY END EARLY. Exterior is forest green. Interior is tan with leather. VIN: WAUFJ54AXNN145304 V6 - 2.8L, 2771cc type AAH - MFI GAS SOHC Mileage: 290k Most of this vehicle is in working order—the good: Transmission works. Quattro did come on when hitting the button. Automatically cuts out over about 20 mi/hr as designed. Body panels All bumpers Grille Glass Lights Radiators Starter Alternator A/C components other than compressor (which may work or just need a charge, not sure) Brake calipers Brake rotors Power locks all work with key (but not from buttons inside) Suspension Tires have great tread. Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring. There does seem to be a bump in the wall that may be from sitting. The bad: Engine does not start. Have not tested compressions but seems quiet and weak when turning over. (It does crank with a charged battery.) No battery Power steering pump leaks pretty badly A/C may or may not work—don’t remember & can’t test Blinker switch doesn’t seem to work right for lights. None of the windows work. May be a fuse or something more serious. Driver’s door does not open from inside (which is a pain since the window doesn’t go down) If you e-mail me, I’ll send my phone number to call with more questions. Thanks for looking. Mark
