It was a dramatic design with unibody construction, all coil suspension, and rakish lowness. Crisp new styling popularized the square-cut “formal” hardtop roofline. The 113-inch wheelbase was compact, yet provided ample interior room for four. Both hardtop and convertible models were offered. With two models and room for four, it was a solid success. Almost twice as many found buyers as any of the previous two-seaters. The ‘59s changed only in detail: a horizontal grille instead of honeycomb, air scoop, taillight panels among other small items. Owing to production over a full year, the ’59 bested the ’58 in sales. It is equipped with a 352 v-8, Cruse-o-matic transmission, magicaire heater, console radio, windshield washers, back up lights, dual outside mirrors with driver remote, power steering, brakes and undercoating. This car is rust and filler free and has had only one repaint since new. The convertible power top is like new and work perfectly. The chrome and stainless are original and very nice.
