NO GAMES, NO RESERVE. We're real people, not dealers, and have a 100% feedback rating for the few items we've sold over the years on ebay (including our previous cars).This highly sought-after 964 series convertible (originally priced at $82,215) has held its value because of the air-cooled engine, which Porsche unfortunately discontinued in 1998 to the dismay of many. If you've done your homework, you know that very few 5-speed Carrerra C4's with all-wheel drive have mileage this low. Our 5-speed convertible has been garaged and is in very good condition for its age. It sounds, runs, and drives beautifully. The car is exceptionally straight with good leather (no tears in the front or back seats), newer soft top (replaced 4 years ago), good tires, good service history, and a great run and drive. There are two known issues: 1. The heater works great, but we disabled it for the summer because the regulator/sensor needs repair. All other mechanicals are well-maintained; anything that needed fixing over the years was immediately taken care of (if you can tell from this lengthy description, we're a bit OCD). 2. The rear passenger side has a 1-2" scratch near the window. Porsche buyers have very high standards and we feel ours will hold up to scrutiny. Not only is the mileage very low (66,815 miles), but the car remains in 100% stock condition with the exception of the high-end sound system installed 2 years ago and described below. There are NO exhaust changes, suspension modifications, etc...this car was driven by a mature couple and never abused, tracked, or damaged. There are no signs of rust. The leather interior is in very good condition. The infinitely adjustable power seats can be adjusted to accommodate most any driver (my husband is 6'4" and I am 5'2"...and we both fit comfortably). Even the normally vulnerable seat bolsters have held up quite well and, due to the car's low mileage, do not show normal wear. As the photos show, the interior is in good condition, including the rear seats, door panels, trim and carpeting. The carpeted trunk is literally in like-new condition. It's important to note that our Porsche was never a lease return or sold from dealer to dealer. The car was never smoked in, and spent virtually all of its time (when not being driven) inside the garage. When we purchased it, it had a clean report with no findings of accidents, thefts, etc. The car has never been in an accident or fender-bender under our care. It is clean in every area, including the interior, exterior, trunk and engine bay. Sound System: The most important upgrade we did is replace the sound system with a custom $1,700 upgrade (receipts will be included). We like good sound, and with the top down, we wanted to be able to enjoy it at ANY volume (wink). The upgrade features an in-dash Kenwood (CHD-545U) CD player with built-in HA Radio, Rockford Fosgate (50 watts x 4 @ 4ohms) subwoofer, plus 4" coaxial front AND rear speakers. Our Carrera C4 has been a blend of comfort, handling and luxury. Use it as an everyday commuter (so fun to hear the whistles of appreciation). a weekend car or fast road car.
