This survivor Jag had 1 owner for 37 years. Was sold new in 1970 at the “British Motor Center Ltd” in San Jose, CA by “Mr. Norm Tomkins” (still Owner/President today!) This Jag spent all of its life in California, Reno Nevada & was stored in southern Oregon since the 80’s. This e-type is still wearing all of its original blue paint that it left the Jaguar Factory, Coventry, England on the 28 November 1969. 100% rust free, 100% original paint, (and I mean ORIGINAL PAINT!!) 1970 light blue exterior, dark blue interior. Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate verifies all the VIN #’s, dates, & colours. Have copies of Titles, work performed, polaroids, all owners & history since early 70’s. Still wearing the original Blue California plate from early 70’s. All #’s matching (engine, trans, body & all data plates). Factory AC, chrome wire wheels, 4 speed & factory hardtop. No accidents, never hit, never welded, patched, cut, no excuse Jaguar. Obviously has minor chips, scratches, dings, with previous owner doing some paint chip touch ups. (paint pen). Leather seats were reupholstered in 70’s as were baked by the Reno sunshine. Original engine was rebuilt in 1975. Currently the car runs & drives but needs wheel cylinders, master cylinder & exhaust. Engine runs quite with no nocks or rattles, transmission is quiet & shifts nicely, clutch is good. With some minor mechanical work (brakes, exhaust) drive and enjoy this rare survivor while it appreciates. Restore later if inclined (I would not, as how many E-type Roadsters wear their original paint!) With a car like this there is nothing to hide, and most importantly on an XKE there is absolutely NO RUST & never was any RUST which is impressive! Vehicle is sold as is in used condition.
