You are bidding on my 1981 VW Camper Van Vanagon "Westy." Vanagon is solid with a bit of rust down low on the rockers but not rotten (see pics). It starts and runs and has a new clutch but one cylinder smokes bad on and off for some reason. I don't know why. Decent interior for the age but the seats could use covers. The Camper obviously needs work and restoration but as you know, they are well worth the investment. Good luck and NO RESERVE! On May-06-13 at 18:03:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Here are the pics a lot of you requested. RIGHT side of top needs repair, front and left side are decent needing minor repair. Also the body and rockers are really solid with the exception of the driver's step. It's a small flat piece and easy to replace but it isn't good. The rockers, wheel wells, shock and suspension mounts, undercarriage etc.. are all really solid. seat bottoms are worn and need to be replaced but the seat backs are pretty good. New battery, curtains and lights work...it's a pretty cool old camper. Looking at the price of the restored ones, it seems you'd get two dollars back for each one you spend. As a medical student I just don't have the time or money and might not for a long time. Good luck and whoever gets her, please fix her up and love her for years!!
