ABBREVIATED DESCRIPTION: Solid dry western 3 speed body capable of being restored, complete less engine and trans. 2 extra fenders, 4 extra doors, plus lots of other extra parts. Read detailed resto info below, written by former Hagerty classic car adjuster before calling me with questions please. Jason 810-691-2664 HIGHLY DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND VIDEO BELOW:Paint- Factory Light blue OEM applied on all surfaces, 2.5-3.5 mil thickness all over. Needs complete BODY- Desert dry western original. No bondo or paintwork has ever been done. All factory panels are major collision free, no patch panels. Some small dents. No compression or buckles in rails, original core support present. Rails are very solid front to rear. Clean pinch welds, solid jambs, doors close great, except one is stuck shut (handle rod off inside door). Original vin tag and fender tag present. Never looked for a build sheet. Regarding restoring, here’s the needed bodywork assessment: HOOD: Light “bumpable” damage to leading hood edge 5-6 hours. Hood edges are solid. Was drilled for hood pins. FRONT FENDERS: are solid, with minimal rust repair/patches needed at dog legs. Good feature lines. DOORS: Lower door skin lips show some rust, but are not swollen and separated, very usable after mediablast. Exception being quarter size hole in one door, through skin and shell, BUT solid all-around area where welding is required. Very good shell bottoms and frames. ROOF AND PILARS: Excellent structurally, and damage free, minimal surf. rust. Some tiny pin hole rust has formed on left cowl wiper area, otherwise very solid around. QUARTERS: Get busy here, there’s work to do. The dog legs are pretty nice and will blast out well. Minimal rust where rockers tie to dog legs. The bottom 6” to 8” of rear splash area is toast. Wheel lips also have rot through in spots. If not recently made available aftermarket, count on fabricating lower patch panels, from the 3: O clock position of the rear wheel opening to the bottom edges of the rear bumper. The good news here is 70% of the edges are still present, which will make outlining and laying out the patches much easier. The left bottom edge is more gone than the right, so start with the right! Inner ¼ lower splash pans will need repair too, but are mostly there. Left ¼ also has a 6 hour dent under rear bumper, that will likely get cut out during patch making. TAILGATE: Operates nicely, hinge mounting structure very solid. The bottom 2-3” of the skin will need to be cut off side to side, and a full length patch fabricated. Additionally, there’s some repairable rust in the shell/flange area that will require a small patch before pinching new lip on. REAR UNDERBODY & SPARE TIRE TUB: Really nice and solid. St. Louis production factory applied sound deadner still present, will blast out well. No holes seen in spare wheel tub. FLOORS: Rusted through in footwells. Right worse then left. If you’re a cookie sheet king with a mig, you could “heal them” with misc. patches. Ideally, aftmkt. repair panel IS currently available to replace it all from firewall seam to back seat. That would be cleanest job, and the way I reccommend, for $900ish bucks. Overall, way more plus’s than minus’s, and a great dry unitized survivor to restore, if you’re a metal man. INTERIOR: Mostly complete front to rear. Seat frames good, need new padding and covers. Needs new carpet and pad. Complete dash, good gage faces and lenses, bezels and knobs look complete. Glove box works. Underdash does not look dismantled, but I didn’t really study it. Original 3 on the tree, functional, all pedals present, underhood shift mount linkage present. St. wheel needs crack restoring. Horn cap looks good for orig. Headliner and bows complete. Interior kick, side and rear trim all there, except driver’s door pad missing. Rear flip up storage lid is nice, with original prop rod. Lots of extra little pieces from another car that was parted out. GLASS AND SEALS & TRIM: All lites are original with original markings. No cracks or chips seen in any glass. All regulators inc. tailgate function. Rt. Rear not tested, door latch stuck. Original windshield has “sand pecks” multiple, and wiper rub marks. All glass needs thorough cleaning. Tailgate glass dirty, may have vertical scratches, but looks more like dirt. All seals will likely get replaced in resto. Chrome vent window frames amazingly nice for survivors. Esaily re-usable. Window stainless equally as nice, will polish up well. CHROME AND TRIM: Does not appear that anything is missing. Nice headlight bezels. Fairly nice grille, that a tin knocker could straighten up the grille fins that are bent. Center hood trim and ornament very well survived. Plymouth leading edge hood trim could be re-used in a pinch, has some damage on left where hood needs repair. Door mirror and handles show only minor age and patina, plating has held up well for 50 years. Easily re-usable. Headlight, taillight and park lamps all worn or cracked to varying degrees. Front bumper is damaged, needs replacement. Rear is shaped nicely, will replate well. Tailgate window crank works, but is missing decorative cover. Door lock cylinder is hanging out. WHEELS AND TIRES: Steel 14” rims repainted silver, no hubcaps seen, avg cond. Tires are old, hold air, but basically “rollers” only. THE SUMMARY: There’s not many of these Mopar Wagons running around. It will make a great project for the right guy. I’ll send you more pics if you call me with your email address. I’m trying to connect a youtube video that I uploaded yesterday. If you don’t see a link in this ad, then it didn’t happen. You can go to “autoappraise’s channel” on YT and find it easily. Thanks, Jason 810-691-2664 Parts only Seekers: Contact me at 810-691-2664 with your “wish list” off this car. I’ve had offers in the past to sell parts, but wasn’t interested in that before. If it does not sell whole, I am now willing to part it out, as I stand to gain more, but prefer not to mess with cutting it up. Don’t dork around, just tell me exactly what you’ll pay for the pieces you desire, without shipping, as you will obviously be responsible for shipping. Call and leave your email address, and I can send you more pics. I don’t want to hide anything. Click on walk around video below.
