We are offering this MECHANIC’S SPECIAL 2000 SAAB 9-5. This will be a great car for someone who is handy with tools and can fix it. The body and interior in this car is in unusually good condition. I actually like driving this car! It does run, but I can’t say for how long. I have probably put around a 100 miles on it so far. What I can tell you is this: the transmission shifts nice and smooth, most of the options work properly but, the engine is the problem. When the engine warms up it smokes a LOT! It does use a bit of oil as well. I don’t know what the problem is, but I am sure someone clever can fix it easily enough.
Power windows. On the driver’s window the motor runs, but something must be disconnected because it does not go up and down, but I do have it up so it stays dry.

The 2.3 Litre 4 cylinder turbo engine starts right up and seems to idle fine, but once it warms up boy does it smoke! I do not know if it is the engine or the turbo or what but it will need some work that’s for sure! It is drivable right now but I have no idea for how long.
The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts nice and smoothly!
The black paint is both clean and shiny, and for the year it is in amazing shape.
The body is also in terrific shape and the whole car looks really nice!
The interior matches the outside in cleanliness and condition.
3 of the 4 tires are in poor shape with around 35% tread left but one of them has 85-90% tread left.
Nice clean 5 spoke aluminum alloy wheels!

I ONLY work by appointment, I do not keep regular hours at the lot and I would not want you to make the trip to pick your vehicle up, and me not be there to help you. I try to meet every one of my customers, and try to make it as convenient as possible, but if I cannot be there I will make every effort to have someone there that can help you, but you MUST call first for an appointment.
Please do not ask what the reserve is, because we will not discuss it.
A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is required via PayPal as soon as you win the auction and absolutely within 24 Hours of the auction ending, unless other arrangements have been made. We only accept PayPal for the initial deposit, the balance due must be paid in CASH or by ELECTRONIC WIRE TRANSFER. Despite what anything else may say we do NOT accept cashiers' checks, money orders, or any other type of so called "Certified" funds. If you absolutely must pay by credit card there is a 5% inconvenience fee, and you need to talk to us prior to doing this. Contact us for information on this. If you do not contact us to make arrangements within 24 hours, we will sell it to the next bidder and issue an unpaid strike and negative feedback. The balance and pick up of the vehicle is due within 7 days of the auction ending, unless other arrangements have been made. Failure to pick the vehicle up within the allotted time will incur a storage fee of $25.00 per day or if you don't pick up the vehicle within the allotted time you will lose your deposit and we may or may not relist the vehicle. We do not get involved in shipping that is on you. There is a $125.00 documentation fee, and if you live in NJ we are required to collect the appropriate sales tax. If you have a driver's license and proof of insurance ON THE VEHICLE YOU ARE PURCHASING! We can even give you a temporary tag for $25.00 so you can drive it home. That's it, nothing hidden!
