This is a black Datsun 280Z that would make a great restoration vehicle. The odometer reads 92799 and we have no reason to believe that it is incorrect. The front engined rear wheel drive 280Z was released in 1975 by Datsun which was, at the time, the nameplate for US Nissan models. An "L-Jetronic" fuel injection system fed the newly upgraded 2.8L SOHC inline 6 engine. Producing 170 HP and 163 ft-lbs of torque the 280Z had plenty of "get up and go" for a car weighting in well under 3,000 pounds. This car was used in the past for extra parts and consequentially, some of the engine has been taken apart and there are parts in the truck that need to be reinstalled. The body and engine show promise. It is an Arizona car that was running up until the parts were taken off a few months ago. There is minimal rust due to this car coming from a dry climate, take a look at pictures for reference of the frame. It will need a redone interior and good tune up before it is ready to be driven again. We have too many projects on hand here but it will make a great project for the weekend mechanic as parts are typically easy to find and install. It is being sold 100% as-is so be sure to view pictures and ask questions before bidding. Exterior needs a repaint, trim is starting to fall off and will need to be replaced as well. Some badges are issing on the trunk lid. Glass is in decent condition except for the drivers side window which is missing. Interior needs work. Seats will have to be replaced, shifter knob and window cranks are in rough condition too. Refer to pictures. Mechanically the car was running well a few months ago until parts were taken off. Everything should be in good condition after a reinstall and tune up. If you are looking for a fun restoration project, this is it!
