Vehicle Detail

1974 FORD BRONCO "RANGER" This 1974 FORD Bronco with the "Ranger" package was sold in June 1974 at the Garrett Motors Dealership (now Four Seasons FORD owned partially by the Garrett Family) located at Hendersonville, North Carolina. I have receipts indicating that an Edlebrock Performer Manifold and a 525 CFM Edlebrock (manufactured by Weiand) Carburator was installed at the Garrett Motors Dealership in May of 1975, in 1977 a "Duffy's Bronco Parts" 23 gallon fuel tank and a 1976 Ford Power Assist with Front Disc Brake kit was installed at Garrett Motors as well. The odometer reads 83,256 miles until June 2010 when this BRONCO was torn down to the frame and body. Both were bead blasted to metal, and repainted with the original Sandpiper Yellow main coat and White top. The new paint job is Base Coat Clear Coat. The body and frame are professionally undercoated with Delmar Undercoat and the interior bed and underside fender wells were surface with Herculiner. The Motor, Transmission, and entire drivetrain has been rebuilt using FoMoCo "BlueOval" parts. The Firestone style tires currently on the Bronco were not available in 1974, FORD offered Firestone 6 ply Premium Cruise tires with Hubcaps or FORD dealerships offered an upgrade to Armstrong Norseman Tread Offroad Tires on White Wagon Spoke Wheels. The "Ranger" Package comes with the Full Carpet, Houndstooth quarter/rear panels and matching cloth seats (Cinnamon color on this model), Spare Tire Carrier and tire Cover, Chrome Window Trim, 302 V8, Cruise-o-Matic Transmission, Locking Hubs, Dana 44 Front End w/Trac-Loc Differential, 9" Rear End w/Limited Slip Differential, Chrome Bumpers, Argent Silver Painted Grill, Headliner, a white & orange vinyl trim stripe on each side (missing right now since FORD no longer makes or stocks the striping kit), Ranger badge on glove box, and an AM Radio. If you notice this is an early model 1974 Bronco since it has the 1968-73 Steering Wheel, in May 1974 FORD changed to a single bar Steering Wheel with a rubber horn bar built into the wheel both in the trucks and bronco models. I have many original receipts, owners manual, window sticker, dealer supplied road map, and other items that were supplied by the dealer at the time of sale.
