Vehicle Detail
The man I bought it from knew the prior owner who had it in the barn, he was going to do the rehab but ran out of funds...All I know is that it sat for many years in storage in the barn and it has very little rust on it...as to the 8127 that is what is shown on the odometer and I can not say much else .. we have put less than 100 miles on it since we did the work. The interior, except the carpet is original, carpet was custom from an original manufacturer's pattern. The motor runs pretty well. I think there needs to be a cable attachment for gas pedal because it doesn't work properly. If you have any questions feel free to ask. My number is 214-957-0500 and email is ReaganWood19@aol.com. Most notable is the change from a removable convertible top, which had to be stowed in the boot, to a permanently affixed, folding top of greatly improved design, which was much easier to use. Separate brake and clutch master cylinders were fitted, as car manufacturers' thoughts began to turn to making their products safer.[8] On US market versions the larger engine sacrificed some of its performance from 1968 on, through the use of smog pumps and other modifications to comply with federal emission control requirements. 1969 was the final year the Sprite was exported to the US.For the 1970 model year cast-alloy wheels were fitted and the grille was changed to resemble that fitted to the MG Midget.[9]Engine:1966–1971 - 1275 cc A-Series I4, 65 hp (48 kW) at 6000 rpm and 72 lbf·ft (98 Nm) at 3000 rpmThe Healey connection was discontinued in 1971, so the final 1,022 Sprites built were simply Austin Sprites.[10] There was no direct successor, as BL's extensive range already contained the MG Midget, which was identical to the Sprite except for badging, and the similarly dimensioned and priced Triumph Spitfire. On Apr-16-13 at 11:31:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I apologize for the miscommunication but I recently looked over the title of the vehicle again and it stated it was a 1966 NOT a 1967.On Apr-16-13 at 11:34:37 PDT, seller added the following information: This vehicle has brand new tires, brand new rag top, and brand new carpet. I have put a lot of money into this car. Contact me by my phone at 214-957-0500 and I can send more pictures etc of the vehicle. Thank you.
