Vehicle Detail

1970 Honda SL 175 Relisting due to non-payment from TGKID on EBay. If you're going to bid and end up winning, don't give me some lame excuse. Pretty much original 1970 Honda motorcycle. First year and fairly rare. Clear title. Faded paint, scratches, some rust, and patina on the chrome. This is NOT a restoration, but would be a great start. Frame and exhaust painting, but that is pretty much it. Used original Honda parts whenever I could find them. Exhaust seems to be in pretty good shape. Gas tank is clean. I will post exact mileage tomorrow. Little bit of tinkering may be left. I charged the battery and rode it down the road yesterday. Battery MAY need replacing. I charged it up and bike ran fine, but new battery was left in bike over winter and she was pretty dead before starting her up yesterday. Shifted through first three gears fine up to a speed of about 25 to 30 mph. I think the speedometer cable may be going as it was noisy and the speedometer was fluctuating. I have quite a few new parts on the bike as it was resurrected from several boxes. All the lights work and only thing missing is the front brake wire to make the brake light work with the front brake. Bike runs good, but the left fuel seat did stick closed once in awhile. I have the new part. Doesn't stick all the time just once in awhile. The last few times I started her there were no problems, other than the idle is low. Tires have weather checking on sides, but appear original(?) and hold air just fine. Seat pan has been broken in half and repaired. I also added foam to the seat where it was crumbled. Definitely not a professional seat covering made more difficult by the fact that not all the metal prongs that hold the seat cover are still there. Some parts I put on the bike (new or used): exhaust pipe gaskets, kick starter rubber, found and original shifter, battery, repro mirrors, horn button switch, various nuts and bolts, clutch perch and lever, clutch cable (black), have a new grey throttle cable that goes with the bike, front brake stay, peg rubbers, fuel valve rebuild kit, plugs, rear fender stay, seat cover, and other stuff I forgot about. Low reserve and reserve could be lowered any time. I only set a reserve so the buy-it-now price would stay up for awhile. Bike is also going up for sale locally so it could be sold at any time. All shipping has to be arranged and paid by the winning bidder. If you have any questions, please contact me. On Apr-13-13 at 08:29:44 PDT, seller added the following information: You can give me a call this weekend if you have any questions. Just shoot me an email through EBay and I will send you my number. Thanks for looking.
