Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible Consider this car as the “Poor Man’s GTO”! Many owners of the Lemans have taken their cars and cloned them into a GTO. The Lemans body style is identical to that of the GTO. The GTO has hood scoops/ hood tachometer, a rear wing and of course the big block engine options. This Lemans is very clean inside and out with no rust issues! Never driven in the winters and always garaged. Everything on the car works as it should and it drives out very well. The odometer reads 66,210 miles and is believed to be actual.Engine – Good running stock 350 CI V-8 with stock 2-barrel carburetor.Transmission – Stock smooth shifting TH- 350 3 speed automatic transmission.Exterior Color – Nice condition Blue Metallic.Exterior trim/Bumpers – Excellent Condition.Interior Color – Excellent overall condition stock black with vinyl bucket seats. Center console with floor shifter.Power Drum Brakes – Work well with no issues. New master cylinder.Power Steering – Works well with no issues.Power Convertible Top – White top is new.Tires – New B.F. Goodrich TA Radials on very nice 14” stock Pontiac Rallye II Wheels.AM/FM Radio w/Cassette Player.New Battery.Fresh Tune Up – New plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor.New rear dual exhaust with “cherry bomb” mufflers and chrome tips – sounds awesome!New upper control arm bushings. The remainder of the front end suspension was inspected and is in good condition.I have decoded the vehicle identification number for this Pontiac Lemans and here are the results. 2 = Pontiac division of GM 37 = Lemans Sport 67 = 2 door convertible 0 = 1970 model year B = Baltimore, MD assembly plant 1 = V-8 engine 19,893 = Production numberI have seen the values and asking prices all over the board. NADA classic car claims low retail is $9,400, average retail is $16,100 and high retail is $29,900. Another source collector car market review claims a #1 car is worth $21,300, a #2 car is worth $14,550 and a # 3 car is worth $10,250. Based on what I have seen these cars selling for on the Internet and the condition of this Lemans, it is worth every bit of my asking price. In my opinion, this is at least a couple of thousand dollars less than what the car is worth based on its overall condition. You really need to see this car as it is in great overall condition and would make someone a great summer cruiser. Contact Rob at 317 468 8838
