Vehicle Detail
I am selling My 1970 Black 440-High Performance Plymouth GTX, Numbers Matching, attached is a Picture of the Vin # (104896) Stamped on the Block, Also the Fender tag, Door Tag, & body Numbers all match, Only Pieces of the Build sheet remain. (N-96) Air Grabber car, Factory Tic Tach Clock that works and keeps good time. 150 MPH Cluster, (C-16) Floor Console W/Bucket Seats Option. The body has all of its original Factory Panels with No rust, including the Perfect Trunk Pan and floors, She was painted TX9 Black Velvet 31 years ago Here in North Carolina in 1982, (Still has the 1982 inspection sticker in the window) and then went into dry storage in 1990, for the next twenty years, She was brought out and Cleaned up, Not repainted, or restored, But At this time the motor was professionally rebuilt and now has less than 500 miles on it. The motor still retains its standard Bore; the heads were all rebuilt for today’s gas, with a three angle valve job, Mopar Purple Cam Shaft, Factory 10.5 compression, Also balanced & blue printed. And it shows in its performance!! She has a Nice 3.91 Sure Grip Posi Rear end; The 727 Automatic transmission has been rebuilt with a shift-kit and 2800 TCI torque converter. Speed-O reads 10 MPH fast; the underside is all original and solid. The trim is very presentable and the Chrome is in great shape. All the doors, hood and trunk open and close very nice. The interior is in nice original condition, the dash pad, seats and headliner is excellent, this is a nice 440 muscle car from the 70’s that is a blast to drive. I have a clean title in my name with no liens. It shows that the Mileage is Actual 44K on the title history, but that’s hard to believe on a 43 year old car, So Honestly I feel it has been taken good care of and it’s on 2nd time around? So I’m not looking for a High Dollar amount that the big dealers are asking, just a fair price for a good car, I just Purchased a second home or I would not be selling this car from my collection. The Dual exhaust sounds awesome with the Flow master mufflers, and the factory Chrome tips. She has the factory 15X7 Steel wheels and all Brand new Goodyear Red Lines tires, also a new Goodyear Polyglass Spare tire in the trunk, it has a lightweight high torque starter and a nice sounding AM/FM. I also did oil & Filter change this weekend with the Zinc additive, the trunk is Very solid, with its original Quarter Panels; (Also Shown) Remember the paint job is over 30 years old!! And still looks very presentable, but not show perfect, The Black still has a Very Nice Luster!! The Factory Air-Grabber hood is fully functional, Just hit the switch and it works like the day it came off the show room floor, all the doors lock with the keys and the steering wheel is in nice condition. The HP-440 is a factory Steel Crank Motor, and still has its Factory iron Intake manifold, And a Dual line Holly Carb. The Original exhaust Manifolds are in perfect condition and will be included in this auction, Along with the factory A/M Radio. This GTX Runs Great and does not Leak any oil. Transmission shifts smooth and has no slippage, also no leaks. The Power steering works real nice and again it has not one leak, as you can see I have lots of cement and I dislike an oil leak. Winning bidder will be responsible for shipping, it is secure here in my garage and I can help you with almost anything you may need, once a bidder has won the auction, a $1000 deposit is required within 24 hours, and the balance within the next seven days. Good luck to all and please feel free to call me at 252-665-1341, or e-mail me at zpratt@earthlink.net and I will answer any questions. Thanks. Duke.
