Vehicle Detail
1972 Imperial Coupe - Spinnaker White/ Blue top/ Blue Interior 440 cu in. You are bidding on one rare Mopar. 1 of 2,322 made in 1972- and this one in unrestored condition, with what appears to be just over 10k original miles. The title and the odometer indicate it is actual.. From what I understand this vehicle was purchased from the estate sale of an older gentlemen a few years ago who had stored the vehicle outdoors under a carport for years. There is some rust but it is a very solid underbody and frame, with exception of part of trunk area (see pics and feel free to contact me for any specific areas). As a result it will need some body and mechanical restoration, but most everything does work and it does run, drive and shift. It does not smoke. Tires are in good condition. I do suggest trailering home, as this vehicle has not been on the road in 9 years. It appears to me to be an easy frame-on restoration. Recently completed: The tank was drained, fresh Lucas treated fuel, a new electric fuel pump (I have the original Bendix unit), a brand new Edelbrock carb(the original Thermoquad was missing, it had a older Carter AFB on it, which is included), new battery, points, condenser, rotor/cap, wires, oil changed, etc. What a find! I have never seen another 70-72 Imperial 2-door Coupe... it will be sure to get a lot of attention at shows and cruise nights! **Also, the car's Virginia 1972 plates are included in sale **Please feel free to contact me via text/phone at 757-561-4805. or email questions or photo requests. I check all 3 frequently and will respond immediately. Bid with confidence- I have been a 100% feedback buyer/seller of all kinds of vehicles for more than 12 years. I take great pride in that rating and will do my best to help all go smoothly. THEY ARE FLOUR BUNNY TRACKS FROM THE KIDS EASTER.On Apr-05-13 at 17:24:39 PDT, seller added the following information: **It has come to my attention from Mopar experts, that judging from the vehicles appearance, this car may not be 10k but 110k. No history came on the car since the original owner passed away and his estate was sold off. The fellow had six cars, all 70s luxury coupes. All were stored outdoors under multiple carports. This caused more wear than if they had been properly stored inside- such as the rust in top, fenders, and trunk area, etc. It also needs mechanical resto such as exhaust, brakes, gaskets, etc as expected with a low mileage vehicle that has sat up. It will run, but needs tlc. However it is the small details, in addition to ACTUAL MI printed on the title, the original factory blue painted oil drain plug with little wear, the original factory Bendix Electric fuel pump ( a rarity since these were troubleprone from new I have been told), minimal seat and steering wheel wear, minimal dash and door panel wear, doors open and close nice, rubber goods decent, minimal brake pedal wear, original windshield in good condition. Also, all numbers match. With that said, either way its 10k or 110k, its a low mileage, special car that deserves restoration from an enthusiast. Good luck bidding!
