1970 GRABBER ORANGE MACH-1 DEALER PROMOTIONAL CAR GRABBER ORANGE SHAKER HOOD CAR FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS 8 GRAND TACH W/ 140 SPEEDO FACTORY FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT MANY SHELBY OPTIONS Hello. First off let me start out by saying that I have set a low and realistic reserve on this car and I will consider any reasonable offers. Now up for sale is a 1970 mach-1 H-code mustang that has some interesting and puzzling options. This is a true mach-1 that is verified by the buck tag and also by the marti report both of which I have. But interestingly enough this car has options on it that the marti report does not describe it as having . Now normally that would just be a case of someone adding options to the car that they want on the car but in this case most of the options on this car are not listed on the marti but rather on the buck tag which matches the vin for this car. For instance the buck tag describes this car as being a mach-1 with black Corinthian interior grabber orange in color with air conditioning (all original components still present), power brakes, space saver spare(still present also),console , tilt wheel , both sides racing mirrors, back louvers , rear spoiler and a fold down rear seat .Now this car is equipped with everything on the buck tag and more. It is an H-code(351 2v) but the emission sticker on the valve cover says the motor is a 351 4v not 2v. Interestingly, in 1969 the Shelby GT 350s were 351 Windsor 4v motors so this motor could be a left over 69 shelby motor and this car does have quite a few Shelby options in it as well. Like the Shelby seat belts ,Shelby console w/shifter and gauges ,Shelby rimblow steering wheel ,Shelby scuff plates and a Shelby roll bar with the shoulder harness for the driver and it also has a 8 grand tach with a 140 mph speedo and the tach works as it should. And what even makes this car more puzzling is the fact that it has power windows and locks with the control buttons mounted in the console. and the really cool thing is they all work as they should but the driver’s window needs to be adjusted or it is loose in window track but it still goes up and down but you have to guide it when it reaches the top. Now I have never seen a 1970 mach-1 with those two power options and I can’t find them in my books but if you look at the door panels they were never cut out for the window cranks and they do look original for the car. Now the marti report says it has a 3:00 open rear axle. But the tag on the rear end say’s it is a 3:25 open but it also said it was a 3-speed manual tran’s and it does have a manual tran’s brake pedal so that was probably changed over by a previous owner or maybe not because it also states that it came with 14” tires but it has 1970 date coded original magnum 500 15” wheels(AND THEY NEED RESTORED) but who knows as This car was sold to a ST PAUL MN ford dealer as a promotional car. Are they the ones that added all the cool options to show what was available for the car? I just don’t know… the car is 43 years old so anything could have happened either at the dealer or at the hands of a mustang enthusiast but the car is cool cool. Although it is a nice car but it does have its problems too.The bad parts of this car are the paint looks nicer in the pictures than in person it is not a show car paint job. It has some bubbling at the bottom of the drivers rear quarter and I am pretty certain both quarters are original to the car and they are in very good shape The factory seam on the back sail panel where it meets the roof is starting to get a little wavy but that is a common problem in these older original mustangs. The dash pad has two cracks by the speaker grille and the passenger side exhaust manifold is cracked but I do have a good one that will go with the car and the previous owner replaced the hood, grille, bumper and front vallance panel due to a minor bump in the front but there is no sign of damage to the fender aprons or radiator support but the drivers side twist lock hood pin is missing the bottom part and if it meets reserve I will replace both sides with new ones and I also have a air conditioned dash cap that is nice that will be available to the winning bidder for a seperate price. Well I have described this car to show the good and bad but I might have missed something so please ask any and all questions you might have prior to bidding and I will do my best to answer them .Also I have many more pictures of the car if you need to see a specific area on the car. Ebay only lets you put 24 pic’s on and I wanted to show all the oddities of the car. You can contact me thru Ebay or by phone at 231-206-5258 or 231-578-2887 my name is Kirk and thank you for looking at my car. (if you would like too see the marti report or the buck tag pictures click on ask seller a question and include your email address and I will send those pic's or any pic's you would like) Thank you Kirk...................
