LOOK, NO RESERVE!! 1 BID AND THIS CAR WILL SELL!! Thanks for looking at this VERY rare and unique 2000 NHRA Firebird Formula. This car is as easily as hard to find as a Firehawk. This automatic Formula comes equipped with the automatic transmission hooked up to a infamous 305 HP Fire breathing LS1 all aluminum V8 engine! This car is quick and is not for the faint of heart. It drives awesome, has great heat and Ice cold air in the summer. The Firebird has a hard top so no need to worry about leaky T-tops. Also have a clean CarFax report in hand! The car is in great overall condition but does have some flaws which I'll list here. - 2 of the rims have a lot of blemishes in them, and the chrome is bubbly and peeling in spots, the corresponding tires are not so great either. - The ash tray door is broken and doesn't open/close properly. - The Monsoon sound system has issues because some of the speakers cut in and out frequently, volume control is also difficult. (I think it's the head unit itself because I replaced the factory Monsoon amplifier and it changed nothing) - Power antenna doesn't go up or down like it should. It just stays in the up position like an ordinary antenna and gets fine reception. Overall, it's in great used condition for a 13 year old car with almost 100,000 miles. There is no damage to the exterior, the paint is nice and glossy, and the engine runs great, has awesome oil pressure, and heats right up to operating temperature. This car can be driven anywhere, and long distances should not be of concern. The NHRA option was LIMITED to 4 exterior colors, and only produced from 2000 - 2002 (less than 900 of them were ever made) -see specific information below. NHRA Special Edition Formula and Trans Am (2000-2002) was a commemorative edition to celebrate the NHRA's 50 year anniversary (in 2001), and Pontiac being a major sponsor of the NHRA for many years. In 2000 there was a total of 215 NHRA Firebirds produced, of which 97 were Formulas. In 2001 there were only 145 produced and in 2002 there were 535 produced. The total number produced is 895. The rarest are a few Trans Am Convertible NHRA SE models with approximately 15 of them. Basically the NHRA SE comes with specific badging, a Power steering cooler, and Goodyear GSC's on 16" rims. The autos came with 3.23's and 6 speeds came with the default 3.42. You could only get NHRAs in white, black, pewter, or red. Pontiac had been the Official Car of the NHRA since Oldsmobile's departure as Official Car at the end of the 1995 Season. The NHRA option added $1,070 - $1,095 to the sticker price. The appeal of the 1SH option package (NHRA Special Edition) is parallel to the appeal of any "anniversary edition" car or "special pace car edition." It is a special designation to commemorate the NHRA drag racing series. The NHRA badges were made by Morgan Design Group. Pontiac Historical information states that only 207 NHRA Firebirds were built in 2000. 97 of them were Formulas NHRA Edition Breakdown Totals from 2000-2002: 2000 there was a total of 215 NHRA Firebirds produced. 2001 there were only 143 produced. 2002 there were 534 produced.
