Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth GTX 440 survivor with 100,000 original miles....Air grabber hood, buckets seats with rare column shift, power steering ,dual exhaust, 727 automatic transmission, 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gears, the car has original motor an trans all the way down to the carb and the magnum 500 wheels, it runs and drives and is a cool rare car that turns heads everywhere it goes. On Mar-18-13 at 17:46:55 PDT, seller added the following information: After many inquires and questions about this car here is a little more information, hopefully this will answer most questions. It is numbers matching. We have verified the numbers on the VIN, radiator cowl, engine sequence #, fender tag, all the way down to the water pump. As for the Build sheet, it's not behind the glove box or under front two buckets. The back seat does not look like its ever been out. For now that's how ill leave it. Interior pic will be posted tomorrow after work. This car was a 1 owner local car. The owner passed and I aquired the car sometime later. It is a survivor car original paint, motor, trans, sure grip, wheels, all trim is on the car and in very good shape. Still has factory carpet and pad but used up. For the body from the air dams on the rears to the nose of the car is very solid , lower quarters in front and behind the tires needs replaced. The panel below rear window will need some attention. It needs trunk pan, Has new factory fuel tank. All frame rails appear to be in good shape. Also the floor pan will need a few patches, but overall the car has great gaps and both doors and trunk shut very well and sound solid with not all the clunking. The glass is all there with no cracks but aren't quite as clear as they were in 1970. The motor starts at the turn of a key and does not smoke, an I have the original manifold, carb, base plate and top plate. All the hardware for the factory air grabber hood is there and mechanically works. The air grabber switch is still in the car also. On Mar-21-13 at 10:02:26 PDT, seller added the following information: AFTER FUTHER RESERCH I HAVE DECIDED TO NOT LIST THIS CAR WITH A #,s matching motor, because there seems to be some questions concerning that fact. So this car is being offered as a DATE CODED 1970 GTX WITH A DATE CODED 1970 440 ci motor. Sorry for the mix up, it was not intensional. Still a nice find for someone to enjoy.
