This is a very nice 48 year old car in a body style not seen every day. The 383 runs strong. The trans shifts smoothly and the power brakes stop effortlessly. The photos were taken 3-7-13. There is no bondo on this car. There are some bubbles in the paint on the left lower rear quarter panel as seen in the photos and I wire brushed some surface rust in the trunk and applied 3M rust inhibitor. See the photos. The inhibitor is clear and I did not paint it so you can see the condition of the metal. The trunk, floor pan and all body panels are solid. This car has had one repaint, in its original color, prior to my ownership and it was a poorly done job. I have machine rubbed and polished it but it still has imperfections. The chrome and body trim is in good to excellent condition. Again check out the photos. None of the photos were photoshopped. There are issues that need addressing. The front seats and the steering column are not original. The column has a steering lock and tilt feature. The air conditioner was working last fall but when I checked in preparation for this sale it did not blow cold. I have tracked it to a cracked condenser and have a new one on order. It will be in full working order before the sale is concluded. The speedometer needle has developed a bounce above 65mph. A new cable is ordered and will be included. the rear dome lights do not work. The interior is in excellent shape. There are no rips, tears or cracks. the carpet is clean and not worn. The gauges work.(fuel,alt.,temp,oilpressure guage and oil light) The heater works and the fan blows on all three speeds. The fresh air floor vents(remember those) also work and seal well. This car has factory features not found on most cars of this vintage. in addition to the A/C, power brakes and power steering it has upgraded wheels with trim rings and center caps still in good condition, day night mirror, and remote adjustable driver's mirror. This car will make a great reliable car for local shows and cruise nights and is not your usual, cookie cutter model. And is gaining in value now that the chargers, roadrunners and cudas have become untouchable. NADA prices this vehicle avg $9,944.00 Hi $14,820.00. The reserve is well below the average.
