1962 Cadillac DeVille Coupe "Sixty Two Series" Stored 25 Years - 62000 Original Miles Up for sale is this fascinating 1962 Cadillac "Sixty Two Series" Coupe. I hold in my possession the Clean and Clear title dated January 31 1978. This car has been in storage for the past 25+ years. The tires all hold air and have decent tread, possibly even original with minimal dry rot or cracks. Everything works on the car inside; The Original AM radio, power windows, power seats, horn, blinkers, lights/switches, etc. All of the lights on the car work and function properly aside from one burnt out headlight bulb. The interior appears very clean and does not appear to have any holes or rust through the floor boards or anywhere inside and the interior is in Excellent condition for it's age! The seats are clean and are in good to excellent condition for the age. The distributor was replaced and the points were set after an oil change by a professional, and the car started right up and runs excellent. The engine sounds great and does not tick, knock, or have any excessive or what would appear to be abnormal smoke. There has been new spark plugs installed, as well as a new distributor. There is a fully charged good battery in the Car that holds a great charge. The car starts right up from it's own power by the turn of the key. This car has a 390 V8 that has not been run for over 25 years.. The motor runs great and has great compression. The carburetor looks to be in very good condition and it is shooting fuel and choking properly, as it should. The brakes on the car work great, however, there is a small brake line leak in the front on the driver side near the master cylinder that does dribble. This does not affect the car being able to drive and stop. The brakes feel great. PLEASE ask ANY and ALL questions before you bid on this car. I can get more detailed photos for serious inquiries if needed. I also have access to transport at a reasonable rate, but I would prefer to do a cash transaction in person. This is a whole running car with a good motor and transmission, and 62,000 original miles. The keys are original (Ignition as well as doors and trunk), the locks are original, and the owners manual is original. See pictures for more detail on the cars condition. It's solid. There's minor rust under the carpet in the trunk, but the rockers seem to be very solid as well as the wheel wells. It comes with a new spare brake drum, all of the chrome strips (new), 2 extra skirts (rusty), extra set of chrome headlights, and a bunch of extra misc. parts. As you can see from the picture, there is a MINOR dent in the passenger door, and a lower front right bumper housing missing. I have quite a bit of extra parts such as horns, new Chrome pieces, new rear brake drum, and more for the car. The doors do NOT sag. They open and close perfectly. Everything works on the car and it can be ran and driven. The transmission shifts smoothly and I did have the car up to 60MPH with no problem and plenty more left in her. There does not appear to be any oil leaks or transmission leaks, just the brake line seepage. The heater core has been by passed, and may need to be rebuilt.
